No way San Fran takes Darnold straight up for Garroppolo. JG's contract is not guaranteed. If they wanted the cap space, they're not trading for Darnold's guaranteed $19 million. They're better off straight up cutting him, but they won't have to do that. They could easily net a 3rd for him but even a conditional 7th is better than trading for Darnold.
