People think that the NFL forced Rhule to trade a top 40 draft pick for Sam Darnold and he was just unlucky that he was bad.

It’s not only that they traded for him, they picked up his 5th year option. I wasn’t against rolling the dice on him but damn they didn’t hedge the bet AND they doubled down! Idiocy.

And we traded for a very bad one.  It’s not all luck.

What truly stud qb have we passed on in this time period that we had a chance at though?  QBs that can change the game on their own (without an oline) are few and far between unfortunately.

    • ...Yea...its definitely time to start thinking about a back. Chubba has been a plus... damn Stewart and Williams were some sht...thats our measurable....
    • Yea regardless of what these people want to argue,  or if you want to say he had little impact or not.  Every qb he has worked with had their best statistical season while he was working with them.
    • Chuba is a good back and we are lucky Matt Rhules wife made this draft pick. But, he is entering the final year of his contract. Plus it’s good to have a solid rotation of backs on hand. I think RB is a sneaky need this off-season, I would be surprised if Sanders was still on the roster this time next year(maybe he turns it around). Even Blackshear will be a free agent, drafting a RB this year sets us up with leverage of not being forced to resign Chuba. The best RB fit in my eyes for a Dave Canales offense, is a quick first step home run hitting RB. Why not pair the most explosive RB in the draft with a creative offensive HC. Plus we could grab Jaylen Wright in the 3-4th round.   If you guys wanna check out the video I made about Jaylen Wright it’s linked below!
