So, I'm thinking Pickett might actually be decent.

people are talking about sitting Willis for a year to develop. You don’t draft projects in the top 10.

 

He was very raw coming out of college. His numbers were worse than Willis’s when he playing at Wyoming. I think him going at 7 shows sometimes the potential is worth the risk. Maybe he is the exception to the role, maybe Willis is to? It’s hard to tell…

Willis won’t be the pick simply because they want someone who can play now… unfortunately being able to play now doesn’t always correlate to playing well.

I will support Pickett but my hopes aren’t high.

Pickett is nothing different then the average QB. He doesn’t bring nothing else to the table that separate him from other QBs. The problem with the Panthers staff is patience and development, with no clue how to evaluate. They have a problem with making decisions on personal feelings.

There is a chance in everything we do. Any other selection we make will have chance in the equation. We just have to limit that chance into the most logical one. The one that is most certain. In Las Vegas they call it playing the house. That's when you go for the best bet. After that, you've just got to play the game.
