Does Rhule really think he has 5 years?

probably the biggest problem was rhule didn't even have a coaching staff that could coach up professional players. that was a huge issue. so not only did you not have a good experienced metric to use or much knowledge of existing players not just on the team, but around the league (which is why we kept going baylor and temple and got our QB from the only team he had any knowledge of thanks to him interviewing there) but we didn't have a staff who could coach them up or make the best of a bad situation (that they largely had put themselves into).

and then there's game planning and management. sorry, it's not all just football. when you're playing against coaches that have years of experience, you need to know your poo...and he didn't. no one on that staff did. why? because he chose poorly.

He will get 5 years. He shouldn’t but Tepper is not a good owner and will allow more losing seasons.

Tepper does not like the boo birds.  Cam isn’t going to be there to stop them next time.

Only if the logic went over your head...

See, what Tampa and Kansas City had that we don't was established offensive coaches who could have helped Brady learn how to be an NFL OC.

Matt Rhule certainly wasn't (and isn't) qualified to teach anybody how to be an NFL anything.

Tha'ts what every team wants, a college coach in charge of the offense who needs to be coached up by those around him.

Sound familiar?  What's it like to be so self unaware?

Rhule had actually been a HC before.  Brady had NEVER been an OC ANYWHERE, let alone a good one.

The Brady lovers are just making fools of themselves.

Here let me help.  It is possible for BOTH Rhule and Brady to suck.  Brady doesn't have to be great for Rhule to look bad.  Sam Darnold has that job covered.

Boy, the irony here 😆

I'm definitely not a "Brady lover" and to my knowledge, neither is CRA. Pretty sure both is us agreed with his firing.

The point that soared so dpectacularly over your head though was simply that perhaps if he'd gone to a team that had better offensive coaching in place, his career might have gotten into a better groove.

Young coaches ascend from both the college and pro ranks to new jobs that they haven't done before on an annual basis. Their superiors tend to help coach them up to the responsibilities of those positions.

Unless of course they themselves aren't capable...

...kinda like Matt Rhule.

and I also don't think Rhule should of hired Joe Brady to begin with.  If you wanted to hire a green OC....you can't have a staff and roster that looked like ours.  That's failure by design.  Which becomes a Matt Rhule discussion given he is the architect.  The failure of Joe Brady and our offense is a much bigger dicussion than Joe Brady.  It's largely a front office discussion.

This statement does not apply to OC and you know it.

Ok.  If it "happens all the time", name one.  Name one current OC who's immediate previous position was a college coach, let alone a non-OC college coach.

Joe Brady didn't hire himself.   Yet, somehow you don't think that is a Matt Rhule issue and a sign of his incompentence.

Very good.  The mistake was hiring him.  Matt Rhules mistake was hiring Joe Brady.  Firing him was the correct action.

yeah, and it was a pretty obivous mistake.  Which is kinda Matt Rhule's thing.  Which is the point of talking about Joe Brady.
