Kurt Warner on The Herd, talking about our new QB.

At just 6’2”, Corral is considered a bit smaller than the prototypical NFL signal caller. His slight stature has not impacted his ability to throw the deep though, as he has shown above-average arm strength completing multiple passes well over 30 yards in the air.

Corral often used play-action to set up these bombs and completed them at the second-highest rate of all FBS quarterbacks (48%). Scouts like his ability to make quick decisions and his knack for ball retention, as he would prefer to take a sack than force up a potential interception. There’s also the following quote to consider from an NFL scout.

According to NFL.com, one AFC team’s scouting director believes that “Corral is a better pure quarterback than either [Pickett or Willis].” Corral’s ability to use his feet, like Wilson, is also of note.

Thanks for sharing.   Takes time to share these things on this site

Always good to have differing opinions and guys who have them and have played the game and they have merit’

they have their prejudices too and even though if they are right, many times players succeed in the right system have them anyway

simple examine is Kurt  himself. …Jake Delhomme and cam Newton. Drew Brees as I recall sent but in many evaluators either

to be fair, the rules of the game has changed so much, it’s his prejudice or preference looking at take mostly from his time of playing

He's still butthurt because a no name Cajun that played for the Panthers was a better qb than him and he knows it.

LMAO.  In no way, shape or form was Jake a better QB than Warner.  Thats absurd, and I love Jake.

Kurt Warner only has sexual intercourse in the missionary position for the sole purpose of procreation.  Probably has a bed sheet with a hole cut in it so him and his wife never actually have to touch each other.

Yeah of course the missing context is the fact that all of Ole Miss' best wide receivers were hurt by the end of the year. He was throwing to 2nd and 3rd stringers.

And really all I remember are Matt Corral tossing bombs. Like this one play might be one of my Rebel favorites of all time (because Kiffen is a Ric Flair level heel)

Lane tossin' clipboards

Underthrew the route by a solid 7-10 yards, but still a nice play.

How dare you insult the winner of the 2005 EA Sports QB Challenge.

LOL

warner is a whacko off the field but his story in the NFL is legendary. How can you not respect that. And I love Delhomme but he is not on the same playing field as Warner.

warner is a good analyst too as long as he keeps his personal opinions and social commentary to himself

Everyone remembers that.  What no one seems to remember are the times before the injury.

* I mean, I am a firm believer that 2003 is the greatest season from a fan following perspective.  Even better than the 2015 run.   We at least knew we had Cam and Luke.  It make sense they could dominate.  2003 was just out of left field and the games were so so close so often.  Peak Panther entertainment IMO.
