Yeah forgot after I posted, cant edit. He is tied for 4th in drops and has the worst percentage in the league among receivers that played a full season. Translation: Robby is still dog sh!t.

It was one off year with a horrible week. Take away one week and the stats look a little differently. You have a right to your opinion even if it's without any type of analytical perspective.

You do realize that catch percentage and drops isn't the same thing...? I guess not.

So here you go. Look at the other receivers around Robby in the drops category. They have the yards, targets, or TDs to make up for it. Not Robby.

He had 2 good years, one in 2017 and 2020 and thinks he is the poo. If anything, 2020  was an aberration. One good year every 4 seasons isnt going to cut it.

Sometimes you just have to go with what a player gives you in terms of scrutiny. Blame doofus Darnold all you want, but hardly any (if any) team has an elite QB, an elite line, an elite coaching staff, and elite WRs and TEs. And if they do, their WRs better not drop anything. So, did Robbie make the best out of what he was given ... or would a better WR have been able to do better in the same spot? Drops are drops, man.

Anderson has had more than two good years, especially considering his circumstances. He has never been a WR1, but has been leaned upon as such for a marked part of his career. Furthermore, his entire career up until last year has been pretty good, especially for a UDFA who wasn't expected to make the team, much less survive so many years in the NFL. He is a legit NFL receiver and his career is a testimony to that fact.

Drops are drops, but Robby (Robbie or however he decides to spell it) has historically not had a huge problem with drops until 2021, and it was really one week that skewed the stats at that. No one was complaining about Anderson putting the ball on the turf until last season. It was likely in his head. He was obviously pressing. I don't understand why a sensible football fan doesn't appear to understand that situation. Take away the one week, and he's likely middle of the pack. I can see if he continues to drop an inordinate number of balls in the coming season, then perhaps all this hate will be justified to a degree, but until then it's just ragging on a seemingly eccentric and introspective dude because he makes for an easy target for more conservative-minded individuals.
