Baker may be happening today.

I fully believe that either Baker or Jimmy G will be our starter on opening day. Rhlue knows that he's on the hot seat and starting Darnold will almost certainly get him fired. All this faking pumping up of Darnold's confidence is just in case we might actually have to start him this season. While I love corral's talent, he's going to need time to learn how to run an NFL offense before he's game ready. I'd prefer us take a chance on baker because he would come cheaper and maybe the big dose of humble pie he got from the NFL will change him and allow him to hit his full potential. Jimmy G is just a more attractive Teddy Bridgewater with a bum shoulder.

Sigh.  Not at your CmC2k just at this line of thinking, which is not wrong.  Rhule is coaching for his job and seemingly will do something rash to save it.  Whether its trade for baker for a year or give a nice big contract to jimmy g.

He should however be telling mcadoo to be creating an offense that corral can jump into week one and build from there.  The easiest way for rhule to keep his job is to show corral can win some games and be an nfl qb.  That buys him time.  Throwing more poo at the wall at qb is a sure fire way to get canned

God forbid you dare mention the word "clickbait" in reference to the 27th vague obscure tweet about how an anonymous source heard from their anonymous source's anonymous source that there's possibly a chance that maybe we could perhaps consider trading for Baker sometime between today and 2027...cause that's toxic as hell and I won't stand for it!!!

In fairness if someone is still stewing about this days later you're kinda proving his point.

Oh Franky, I'm so glad I have you to follow me around in threads to tell me how mad I am, otherwise I would just never know.  My "stewing" + your saltiness, what a perfect pairing we make.

I'm absolutely not wasting my time reading any of that condescending bullshit. You made a point, stood by it, and it was refuted. Take your garbage elsewhere and see if the high-and-mighty act works on someone else.

, how mad would you say I am?  Frank's salt is more than enough for my stew, I don't need yours thanks.  Gotta watch my sodium levels!

I'd say you're definitely one of the angriest people on this board, for sure.

Can you explain the incongruence between what I said vs. what you said? If I'm starting off my sentence with "Lol do you guys actually think", it should signal that I'm emphasizing the ridiculousness of what follows.  If I say something like "Lol do you actually think Jimmy Clausen is the best QB in franchise history?" - suffice to say, that's probably not a position that I myself hold.

If you're getting hung up on me saying "that's literally the entire point of my post" to you asking me if I think people need to make things up to criticize Tepper - I meant the entire point of my post is asking that same question, i.e. "do you people seriously feel the need to make things up to criticize Tepper".  Not that the entire point of my post is that people do need to make things up to criticize him.  Sure maybe I could have phrased that better, but if I was saying what you think I was saying, I'd in essence be holding the position that Tepper is perfect and infallible.  If you apply even the slightest bit of context or critical thinking, it should be pretty obvious that this is not a position I hold.

Really?  That post?  Interesting.  I would definitely say more "condescending" as you correctly identified the first time, but as a bleeding heart liberal, I would never dare invalidate your feelings.  Bottom line is that you were the one who got fed up and stormed off during that discussion, not me.

If this was an Xbox Live Call of Duty lobby, you'd totally be pwning my n00b ass with this "U mad bro?" line.  But I dunno I guess it doesn't really sting very much when you're a grown adult.  Just feels kinda cringe bro.

Witnessing your pithy attempts at gaining some upper hand (at what? For what?) over a course of multi-paragraph word salad amuses the hell out of me.

By the way, I'm a Democrat, too. And you are mad as hell.

Guys, I found a safe in a new house I just bought that hasn’t been opened since 1983. It says it contains the exact time Baker Mayfield will be traded to the Carolina Panthers. Crazy how it predicted both the Panthers who didn’t exist yet nor did Baker but I digress. I’ll post the info once I open it, I super pinky swear promise. spacer.png

No YOU mad!!

Am I doing this right?  Is this seriously the level of discourse you want to contribute to these boards?

On a side-note: what do you think "pithy" means?  I'm not sure how you reconcile characterizing my post as both "pithy" and a "multi-paragraph word salad" lol.  Those are quite literally completely contradictory.

    • Smitty and Lance Zierlein see eye to eye on the top four, then they start diverging a little bit. It's an hour and 18 minutes.    Link only (due to NFL content.) https://youtu.be/LDzLS0viRX4?si=P5JkRNA8eqevnpHc Again, if you like hearing about receivers, give it a listen. I know at this point that it's easy to get overwhelmed and/or simply tired of too many opinions. That being said, I found the discussion about some of the receivers pretty interesting.  Tidbits: Both have Nabers WR1, but you can't go wrong with Harrison or Odunze. Smitty has Ladd at 8, Zierlein at 5. Smitty has Worthy at 5. Sixth is AD who needs to work on route running. Zierlein said two ex-receivers that Smitty knows have expressed concerns (and, just guessing, it could be Keyshaun & Irving). Legette is 9th. Which Legette are you getting? Many of these receivers, including Odunze will have to play in specific roles for them to shine.  Pearsall is 14th. He can play outside but eats in the slot.   The most interesting thing to me about watching these many analysts is that they all agree that where a guy is drafted and how he is deployed absolutely matters. It can make or break careers. Sure, you have some guys that can do it all, but those aren't as prevalent as we'd like to think, that's why putting guys in the best situations to succeed is so crucial. At the same time, you may not even know all the guy can do based upon the offense he was in on the collegiate level, so you at least have to explore the possibility that he can do more. Coaching is so important.
    • I never tried HGH but tried a number of different gear related items over the years to include, test cypionate, test enanthate, sustanon, equipoise, masteron, primobolan, anavar and winstrol and damn sure enjoyed all of them. I heard a lot of good on HGH but also some bad. They sure do help in the short term over a number of years but when the playing days come  to an end you end up regretting all that stuff when you get past your 20's and into late 30's and early 40's. I would most definitely advise Bryce to avoid at all costs even if it means him losing his career. Gear is a silent killer and it slowly takes years off your life. Nearly killed me years later. He needs some good nutrition, some hard weight training and some explosive training on a field and I bet Bryce would very much have improved performance on game days. Drew Brees while taller than Bryce by a little was in fact very strong for his size and trained very hard for that strength which I believe helped him to be who in my opinion could possibly be tied for the best QB ever. Bryce needs to get on the Drew Brees training and nutrition plan.
