My expectations are relatively low, and as I realize that anything can happen, I'm mentally prepared for another wreck of a season. That being said, I'm guardedly optimistic that we can be better than last season.

I think its a 2-12 win total type of deal. The average between those numbers is 8 and thats where Im at currently.....

IF IFififififi CMC stays healthy and has a pre-contract yr, improved OL, Rhule has his 3rd year magic, fastest defensive is also leading the league in TOs, Burns breakout and has 15+ sacks along with tons of hurries/pressures, Chinn becomes a game changer with Wilks guidance, TMJ DJMoore Anderson play up to their potential with a breakout season from Ian "got my bag" thomas...... all can happen, but only need a few and this team is changeling for one of the last playoff spots even with the HC and QBs on the team.

So how prepared are you as a Panthers fan for another miserable 5 win season?

I’d say I’m a pretty jaded fan these days, maybe more than the casual fan. I haven’t been positive about this team since Matt Rhule was hired, I’ll admit that.

I’m 100% expecting another terrible season and totally prepared. I have no intentions of going to a game and I already have plans on a few Sundays this fall, something I would never do in the past. I’d prioritize watching the Panthers.

To me, unless Matt Corral surprises everyone and turns out to be a viable starting QB, the offense is going no where. The defense is still going to have issues stopping the run. It just seems like a year where the wheels completely come off and the season ends much like 2019 did with a team that doesn’t even field a team that wants to be there by the end of the season.

But that’s just me. I think this time next year we’re all talking about a highly drafted rookie QB and a new coaching staff and I’ll be a lot less negative (hopefully)

Thanks for the post. You’re like the depressed donkey from Whinny the Poo. Go outside, find a girlfriend/boyfriend. Call someone.

    • I think Caleb is a massive bust waiting to happen. He is supremely talented but yeah, he seems like he's a really bad mixture of very cocky and also mentally fragile. There WILL be bumps in the road at the NFL level. There's gonna be games where you just go out there and get your ass kicked. I'm not sure if he's built to handle that. People think I hate Bryce and I don't. He seems like a really good dude. I just don't think he has the physical talent to be a high level NFL starting QB.
    • Said before, why do you do a major revamp and skimp at C? I think you finish the job. Corbett is unknown to us as a C, and usually you’d trust professionals to assess, and act if necessary. I like Morgan and he isn’t making me rethink that so far, and I think if one they really like is within reach they will make that move. I personally feel like it is a more important to cover that position than what amounts to another WR lottery ticket. And Young, in my mind, sort of puts a ceiling on what you can take advantage of. It isn’t racing on the interstate with him, it is city racing from stoplight to stoplight.
    • I will say this, as a luke warm to cold Bryce guy....I'd much rather pull for Bryce Young vs having to pull for Caleb Williams.  Caleb seems mentally weak, idiotic, and unable to lead a team of grown men do to being a mega clown.  Bryce just lacks the Madden created tools you want your QB to have and likely is going to resemble Eli's leadership more so than Peyton's.  And the brothers got the same rings in the end off both styles.
