Another Mayfield Trade Thread... How about a 3 Way?

Recommended Posts

While I'm a proponent of a good three-way, but this is awful.

How about everyone keeps the money where it is and the players simply trade teams - Darnold to SF, Garoppolo to the Browns and Baker to the Panthers. The money is already on the books anyhow.

Not a bad idea if they would try it.

I brought a 3 way scenario up with my wife when her friend was over the other day, now I’m sleeping in the dog house with a busted nose. Why is everyone so against 3 way trades?

Cause Carolina is not the only one getting screwed?

A 3-Team Baker Mayfield Quarterback Trade Is Being Floated (msn.com)

I swear writers come up with the dumbest ideas.  I don't think this has been put on the table but Carolina gets screwed in it.

We get Mayfield, Cleveland gets Jimmy G and we cough up 2 picks...

NOT NO BUT HELL NO.

How about we take Mayfield and his cap hit, Cleveland takes Jimmy G, and SF takes Darnold and his cap hit.  Only threeway trade I would agree with.

I'd go for that but I don't see Cleveland taking all of Jimmy G's contract. They'd be better off taking the all but 5 million for Mayfield.

I certainly don't think it would happen.  I just don't like any other option.

I think there is a possibility our coaching staff wants it.  Rhule is probably a little on the desperate side, and under some pressure to show improvement this year.  And getting even an average qb would help, whether its Mayfield or Jimmy G.  But I don't think should give up much to get said qb.

Not that the team listens to me.  🙂

    • Did we hear Corral will get more game time / a game plan?
    • Thanks to Anthony Rizzuti of Panthers Wire 1. QB Baker Mayfield: 80.5 2. OL Cade Mays: 79.1 3. WR Keith Kirkwood: 78.4 4. WR Derek Wright: 77.2 5. TE Giovanni Ricci: 75.5 33. TE Jared Scott: 46.5 34. C Pat Elflein: 45.6 35. QB Matt Corral: 43.3 36. RG Austin Corbett: 31.9 37: TE Nate Becker: 30.3   1. LB Cory Littleton: 92.8 2. CB Duke Dawson: 90.1 3. CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver III: 82.1 4. LB Brandon Smith: 81.5 5. CB Tae Hayes: 77.0 31. LB Julian Stanford: 37.7 32. DT Daviyon Nixon: 37.4 33. LB Isaiah Graham-Mobley: 36.4 34. DT Bravvion Roy: 36.0 35. DT Frank Herron: 30.2 Take from it what you will. I would like to see all the grades, but I will say that it appears that the depth at DT is bad, while the same at CB looks good. Our LB corps may not be great, but its floor is probably average at worst. All in all, these grades are probably a pretty accurate reflection of the team's strengths and weaknesses at certain positions. If you want to read the little no-account words that accompany the grades here it is: https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/lists/panthers-pff-grades-panthers-commanders/
