Really feels like the hammer is going to come down on Watson between the sheer number of accusers, lack of remorse, owners bitching about the contract structure, spitting in the NFL's face not accepting the 12 games, among more things.

Like I said before, It would be pretty sick if they handed out a 2 year or indefinite suspension.

How I see this going, potentially.

- NFL/Harvey level the suspension at one year. Justification is, the original arbitrator ruled on four cases only whereas the NFL is taking into account the remainder of the cases. Settled cases do not indicate innocence or guilt, but the number of accusers filing suit is considered in the decision.

- Watson and attorney go to court to contest the decision. This would likely last the entire NFL season.

- Goodell places Watson on the exempt list.

Question is, would a court injunction overrule the commissioner's exempt list?

Edited to add...

Have to wonder if Houston is going to be handed a pretty massive fine (including the loss of draft picks) for their actions. I don't think Cleveland has done enough to warrant a fine against them, unless you can fine a team for utter stupidity.

I know there was BS with him sitting out allll last year, but the NFL again shows how much of a joke they are. This comes close to giving Ray Rice 2 games before the video came out with him craveman dragging his KO'd wife. I wish I wasnt a all-in panther fan.

The NFL doesn't control his suspension. They called for indefinite suspension but because he is not an NFL employee, they are unable to do much of anything. His 6 game suspension was based on precedent.

Highly suggest reading up on how law works because this process is very similar.
