Receiving wise he had weapons in 89 Olsen and Shockey and he had Gross (and a young R Kalil) but that was about it. As far as the build around him he was the lone man standing from the entire draft the year we selected him that's pretty damn ugly you should at least get one other starter out of a whole draft. For the most part the Panthers got by on the save me Cam formula we would have had a Lombardi trophy if they had not squandered so many chances to properly build a line around him in his prime. But it's the past now.

he had Gross, Wharton, and Kalil at LT, LG, and C.   Young Kalil was already a multi time Pro Bowler.  Just like Gross.    And a solid RG.  That's a solid OL for a rookie.

Then you give him Double Trouble, Olsen and Shockey and  a HOF stud WR.

Now, the build as we went forward sucked.  But he was dropped into a good spot for early success and growth.

LOL

When this is listed for Rhule starting off in worse spot than RR, its dismiessed.

When comparing Cam to Fields, it means the world.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Crazy thing about Double Trouble I think with Cam we only had a back eclipse 1k rushing yards once through those years and that was Stewart. Again the staff couldn't stop leaning on Cam too heavily and it is why his career was ultimately shortened.

Ron brought in Olsen, Shockey and Cam.  They don’t count as inherited players.

and I don’t think I have ever even discussed Ron’s inherited roster in 2011 vs Rhule’s.

I have argued against the notion Rhule inherited slop which gets pimped.   Rhule fanboys like yourself have gone to great lengths to downplay and trash it.  Best part of his roster 3 years in is still his inherited players

If that 2020 team was well coached they would have won more games.   They were in every game with a chance to win despite not even having basic NFL coaching and prep (minus games vs the eventual SB champ) And Rhule still inherited Cam and Luke on top of that.  He opted to kick Cam to the curb and Luke wanted no part of it.

First nearly everyone agrees that Ron did not have the power on the draft or FA that Rhule has.

Second he was GIVEN the #1 pick with a horrible QB the previous year.  Who exactly was Hurney going to pick, Blain Gabbert?

Your statement on Cam is absolute joke.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cam never played with a 1k yard back until CMC

Yeah I was thinking of 2015 Stewart had 989 rushing yards so two good carries away from the mark. But again shows we leaned way too heavily on Cam versus a versatile attack like what Buffalo has with Josh Allen and their offense.

Yea he came close a couple times. Injuries robbed him of a more productive career. That and a stable offensive line and tbh I don't know if Buffalo has had a 1k rusher in Josh Allen's time either just comes with the territory of having a mobile QB especially down near the goal line
