Matt Rhule: "I disagree" with analyst's criticism of play-calling

Matt keeps dumping cherry picked stats and analytics except the cold hard fact that they lose every 3 out of 4 games under his watch.

Matt Rhule cites cherry picked data to defend his decisions it's like he posts on the huddle.

Snow did the same thing when he was asked about the run defense.

They seem to put a lot of value in these stats and rankings. That's a mistake as those sorts of things can easily fool you.

Like, if you went into this offseason thinking that #2 defense ranking was actually valid, you'd probably employ a faulty approach.

Rhule: 'How come we ran for 146 yards and 6.3 yards per carry?'

6 run plays for 74 yards in the second half. 5 of them to the left.

2 scrambles from pass plays for 19 yards.

8 runs for 93 yards in the second half.

19 pass plays called in the second half.

0 running plays on the final drive while trailing by 3 points. Drive ended with a sack.

23 plays for 9 minutes on 6 drives. 4 play 1:30 minute drives on average.

Giants held the ball for 13 minutes on their final 3 drives to end the game.

Giants ran the ball 26 times in the second half. 19 of those runs were on the final 3 drives.

Panthers had 23 runs for the entire game.

Me to Rhule: 'How come we went away from the run with the lead in the second half? How come we ran for 53 yards and 3.5 yards per carry? Why did the Giants key on your runs in the 2nd quarter forcing you to leave the run with the lead for the rest of the game while running for 29 yards and 3.2 yards per carry? Why did we run for 16 yards and 2.7 yards per carry in the 2nd quarter absent Baker's scrambles?'

Rhule, seems the Giants coaching staff had us figured out after the 1st quarter.

These are coaching problems, poor game planning, awful adjustments, and flat out being outcoached in the final 4 minutes of the game.

A good coach could get this roster a winning record. A championship coach could get this roster into the playoffs.

You screwed up the roster and opportunities in the offseason. Now, you are doing even worse in season as a coaching unit.

Can you win if a team can score more than 17 points? Opposing coaches are just slow playing you to put up 20 points in a game and execute their final 4 minute offense to perfection if it is a close game.
