Also, if the Raiders, Rams and/or Steelers win....we shoot right back up the draft order.

Keep in mind the only team that we can't catch is probably the Texans. We have the lowest SOS, so we have the tiebreaker with anyone.

this is another reason I'm really not worried. There's a ton of teams close to our record, and being 9th right now could become ~5th by end of day (guestimate/napkin math).

Totally. We should just keep going after XFL stars and proven 1st round busts. It’s a great strategy

Totally, many rings do Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, Trey Lance, Mac Jones, Joe Burrow, Tua T., Justin Herbert, Jordan Love, Klyer Murray, Daniel Jones, Dewayne Haskins, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, Mitchell Trubisky, Deshaun Watson, Patrick Mahommes have...wait, I can finally stop now.

You don't EVEN want to see list before Mahommes.

Completely agree with you.

Everyone here praising Sam and happy with the win will be singing a very, VERY different tune come next season when Sam is still our QB bc of a few meaningless wins with a projected .500 season (at best).

We can’t even lose right. This season was over before it began and nobody seems to fully grasp that.

.500 seasons are no longer possible.

you can't ask NFL players/coaches to tank. It doesn't work. Too few games in a season and big contracts on the line.

as such, when teams lose, and lose a lot, it is often due to lack of talent. hence the huge holes that most top 10 drafting teams have.

If your team is in good shape you can afford to trade up to get a final piece, like a QB.

The reason we have 4 wins is talent. Wilks hasn't done anything to lose games. Our overall talent level does that. We don't need to overachieve but that's hard this year with good teams playing shitty.

Most fans would rather have a few meaningless wins than try to build to get back to the superbowl

If there was another Mahomes in the draft, our fans would still want to win

I guess we really are not football smart

panthers will be mediocre for years to come. you have no control over this so dont even worry about it.

Wilks does not seem like a particularly good coach - a massive upgrade over Rhule, sure, but whatever we call coaching on offense is lacking teeth.

Why is it that we're a bad team playing like a bad team but the teams around us are good teams playing shitty?  Maybe we're all a mix of shitty and good, lol.

We have a soft schedule so trying to keep to our true talent level is going to be difficult.

The jets and browns have great defenseses because they pick high as well. Ask Miami and Texas how they are doing without a QB. Ask the Titans and the Patriots are doing with a mediocre one.

Outside of the Texans who had no plan B when Watson forced his way out...much better than us currently.
