I thin they made that trade because he was an oft-injured RB on a boatload of money.

It was a symbiotic relationship though.

Brees was a good NFL QB before Payton. He was elite after.

I understand that, but when was the last time Payton had a full draft to work with, and how have most of Payton’s picked turned out? He is great at making chicken salad out of chicken poo.

4th this year, and next years 1...I'm in.

Although I'm not thrilled about Payton, I think outside of Harbaugh it would be the best hire available...now to find a QB.
