Reality: he was a great QB realizing (2 weeks before TC) he didn’t want to play football anymore from going in that direction…

That's all good, I think that at some point you have to realize that you can't blame Luck's departure for all of Frank Reich's failures in Indy.

Reality: Team was still competitive and making playoffs after that and had 4 different starting QB’s .. There has to be credit giving for that..

He has more back to back winning seasons there as a HC than our Franchise has had in its history.  Despite working for one of the most dysfunctional front office and ownership in the league.

he was still 3-3-1 after he was instructed to play Sam Elinger this season prior to being fired for their owner to hire his buddy Jeff Saturday (who actually looks May be the permanent guy)

Right…I mean look how easy it’s been for us to replace our franchise QB…they grow on trees ha. It usually sets any franchise back. I don’t see how he could be blamed for that. Teams were poaching people from his staff so that says something..Buffalo’s the last team to poach any of our coaches🤣 his last 3 QBs were retreads, hopefully he’s seen enough of that

Frank Reich may spurn Chargers for mediocre head coaching job

this might be a bit biased of a writeup from a chargers fan page.

Frank Reich might be better off being the offensive coordinator of the LA Chargers.

That being said, Carolina has to be one of the worst coach openings to exist on the market. This is a small-market franchise that notoriously has not spent (nor been successful) during its existence. Carolina was not great in 2022 and is still a long way to go until they are a playoff-caliber team.

Does Reich really want to go to another team that is going to play quarterback roulette and make him coach some mediocre stopgap quarterback? That doesn't sound like a great time, and quite frankly, it could tank Reich's coaching stock.

Or, he could come to the LA Chargers to take the best coordinator job in the sport and boost his value. Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL but as long as Reich doesn't fall flat on his face, he will become one of the marquee head-coaching hires next cycle after unlocking Justin Herbert.

I agree, but the team still underwhelmed when it came down to crunch time. Also, the team never won a division championship under his leadership...against so-so competition.

his "failures" in indy were still better than most of the seasons in our franchise's history. it wasn't until the owner started meddling in an effort to give him a chance to hire his buddy the HC job that reich started actually losing.

if reich was handicapped at all in indy, it was by irsay.
