Warren Sapp? Yeah they aren’t trading Fields…

I say the go bpa/need of all but qb. The 1st qb goes to Huston. From there you have to align the rankings of need per team. But you really can't do that until you see their offseason moves. Forget what the media says. I'm curious to see what the other nfcs teams do with their qb situation. It would not surprise me to see one of them, maybe 2 of them go ofter Lamar or Roger's if they have a chance. I hope like hell we do not jump in on those deals.

I’ve seen the Falcons linked to Lamar a lot if the Ravens have to trade him. I think Rodgers is GB, NYJ, or retire. Carr is wide open and could go to any of the 4 really. Jimmy G will be available and possibly Lance.  It will be interesting that’s for sure.

Lamar is not a bad passer, which makes your post null and void.

His career passer rating is 96.7.

That's not even the right stat, he is a career 63.7% passer. I am not how that is being construed as a "bad passer."

We just got rid of multiple bad passers. PJ Walker is a career 57.5% passer, Sam Darnold is a career 59.7% passer, Baker Mayfield is a career 61.4% passer.

Josh Allen is a career 62.5% passer. Does he now stink too? I guess we don't want him either?

When it comes time to evaluate prospects, it's nice to think we might finally have a head coach who knows a thing or two about what it takes to play the position.

Well look at thier draft picks they have.  They have very few choices but to go with a vet. If they want to challenge for the nfcs they will have to get a much better qb just like we need to do.

It appears we are going to get serious about developing our own so logic dictates that we start from ground zero with a rookie. And with that there will be growing pains. So if Corral is going to do anything he will battle with whoever is drafted for the first shot at being the starter. It better be quick because whoever the backup is will not be expected to hold the spot very long. The pressure will be on the rookies to show what they're made of. That's my view from the nosebleed section.

I would say it's the most apropos stat, but it's certainly not the only one (as you posted). There is plenty of evidence to suggest that Lamar is a good passer, but some Huddlers are just...analytically lazy.

    • ...Yea...its definitely time to start thinking about a back. Chubba has been a plus... damn Stewart and Williams were some sht...thats our measurable....we need a dawg a la freddie lane
    • Yea regardless of what these people want to argue,  or if you want to say he had little impact or not.  Every qb he has worked with had their best statistical season while he was working with them.
    • Chuba is a good back and we are lucky Matt Rhules wife made this draft pick. But, he is entering the final year of his contract. Plus it’s good to have a solid rotation of backs on hand. I think RB is a sneaky need this off-season, I would be surprised if Sanders was still on the roster this time next year(maybe he turns it around). Even Blackshear will be a free agent, drafting a RB this year sets us up with leverage of not being forced to resign Chuba. The best RB fit in my eyes for a Dave Canales offense, is a quick first step home run hitting RB. Why not pair the most explosive RB in the draft with a creative offensive HC. Plus we could grab Jaylen Wright in the 3-4th round.   If you guys wanna check out the video I made about Jaylen Wright it’s linked below!
