Reich’s description of a QB: It’s basically Corral

That’s silly. You are talking about two young men who grew up differently, different families, different friends, different challenges, different physical abilities.

People are far more complex than that.

I’m talking about Size, Arm, and prospect.

not what they did at their particular school.

We'll resign Darnold for back up money, look at Corral as the immediate future and I'm thinking we will take a wing at Georgia QB Stetson Bennett late in the draft as his drunk and disorderly arrest is really going to drive his draft stock down -- like fourth or fifth rounders.

We'll snag the best DE, TE or DB available on the board at nine or might trade back to someone willing to  take a big risk on one of the remaining fourth or fifth top ranked QB available at that time.

Scary thing is how accurate this might actually be with this franchise.

That I could see, and the price will be far less damaging.

I really hope Young does not fall--I hope someone grabs him early.  So much depends on how much we like Richardson and Levis.

I think they are both a year away, and I got the idea they wanted a QB as the final piece--which suggests right now.

If we wait, we can add a stud TE and maybe a WR to help make him better.  This is going to be interesting, but after hearing Fitterer, he sounded like he will be aggressive-as if he sees QB as a "final piece".

Of course, they have a lot of homework to do.

But those traits are different too. All you pretty much have to do is check their scouting profiles. If you're honest, there were (and are) many differences.

Just the fact that you say they have similar arm strength indicates to me that you never took any scouting report about Corral that you may have read seriously. Morover, "slightly" better athlete just isn't credible. Read the scouting reports; that's all you have to do.

Nah watch the film

its not hard.  And yes, please read the scouting reports.  Not some SEC media guide.

When was he Ever considered the “best at his position”. Now you’re just pulled crap out of your azz.

He was never even the best in his conference at his position

Your arguments sound more like someone who insists we draft a QB because they don't want Corral to be considered than actually listening to people far more knowledgeable about Corral than you.  (I'm not talking about Huddler's either)

Corral has tools to be successful in the NFL and if Reich can get those traits to translate to the field, we could have a special player.

One thing some of us have forgotten about.  Corral is a leader.  He's like Jake was.  Not the most talented guy in the league but has leadership qualities that makes guys try harder to make him better.

I would bet money that if the fight started on the field between a DT and an interior lineman.  Corral, not advisable. would be right in the middle of it.  It's that type of leadership that makes players play hard for their QB.  You'll see soon.

Moreover, no one can say what type of processor Corral would be in the pro system because of the college system in which he played. Anyone paying attention knew that this was perhaps his biggest question mark, with his durability being second.

Not one draft analysts

scout

anyone

outside of our fan base now or Ole Miss fans (or just a south eastern college fan) had Corral as a top 25-30 prospect in the draft.

this fan base has just got so QB horny that they completely ignore everything and think the guy we have is the next big thing.

The dude fell in draft for a reason and it’s not because a “injury” or some “off field rumors”.  Because that happens every single year with players and it doesn’t tank their stock like people here are suggesting did to Corral.

Simms had him as his top QB, so whatever.

Cool.  One guy.
had him the best QB in the worst QB class in a decade.

Just the tallest midget in the room

he had Zach Wilson the best over Lawerence and Kellen Mond 3 the year before

OH Really!!!!

Corral's dropped for those exact reasons.  You're so obvious it is sickening.  Just come out and say you don't like the guy for whatever reason.

I don't think anyone here has said he's the next best thing.   I will say that with all the question marks surrounding the current crop of QBs you could fit Corral somewhere in the middle.

You sound like a kid with a toy and once the battery goes dead instead of replacing the battery you buy a whole new toy.
