Frank Reich lays out vision for the future

I get the impression consistency of excellence is a phrase you're going to hear a time or two.

What I liked most about that whole thing though was the notion that the playoffs would be considered the minimally acceptable standard.

The bottom end is we are in the playoffs this year. Unless they entirely gut the roster. Then next year. Anything less is not acceptable.

A lot of this is Hoorah talk, everybody wants to be tough and competitive, hardest working team, etc. I posted this in another thread but my biggest takeaway from the press conference is his offensive philosophy.

The more I think about it, the more I'm a believer that Reich can get us turned around quick. Think about it, his philosophy is currently being implemented to perfection by the Eagles. Reich wants to establish the run game to set up the big chunk passing plays downfield coupled with a top 10 defense. Coach Sirianni is a Reich disciple.

Eagles have a top 5 run offense, top 3 total offense, scored 32 total rushing TDs this year. They have AJ Brown and Devonta Smith making huge downfield plays, their offense is unstoppable and their defense is top 2 with 70 total sacks. What he talks about is actually working in the NFL.
