2023 Mock Draft Report 2.0: A look at C.J. Stroud

Recommended Posts

All signs point to us finally being very aggressive to try to solve our QB issue. I welcome it, but being very aggressive also brings tremendous pressure to get it right. Drafting a bust doesn't sink teams but trading a lot of assets to draft a bust is a much costlier swing and miss. It's like drafting multiple busts in a row

Well look at that. You guys kill me with this trade up panic.

I think the yearly assumption is that the QBs worth taking will be the first off the board, and then you're left with the leftovers. But also a mock draft from the second day of February doesn't hold much water lol.

That's what I've been saying but that panic squad will not listen.

And none of these qbs are looked at the way starry-eyed fans who think their chosen one is the must get at all costs prospect.

Agreed.  Better to bust having invested only one first round pick than several.   At least you can try again next year with the first round pick you didn't use to trade up this year.  Risk management 101.

They never are. Doesn't mean there's not merit in moving up to get your guy.

Renner began his analysis of the Richardson pick with the phrase "beggars can't be choosers".

Daniel Jeremiah has Richardson his 13th Overall prospect in this class fwiw.

the league and its scouts see these QBs a whole lot differently then many fans.
