I feel they are making restructure friendly contracts......holy god STOP......

Am I wrong in remembering finessererererr saying " You should have dead cap at 0" And he keeps doing this BS.......

Isnt this the 3rd time on motown too??!?!?!

I would hold a difference opinion if they were winning.....

This is what I’ve been talking about when I’ve been saying this offseason is either going to make or break us for the next bit

Fitterer needs to produce results and he’s willing to sacrifice the future for it

Let’s just pray he hits

Based on some of Thompson's recent comments, I'm gonna guess Option 3 probably isn't happening 😕

My deal with Shaq is, getting rid of him adds ANOTHER hole to fill...a big one.

There has to be some common ground here for both sides.....I know the MLB market is looking like the RB market....

There's only two years left on Moton's contract so I don't understand restructuring it unless you're adding dummy years on the back end. If it's just a standard restructure his cap hit is gonna be MASSIVE next year. Why not just go ahead and extend him now? Because all you've accomplished is giving him more leverage when you go to do it next year.

I honestly don't think it's THAT big of a hole to fill. He's a $25M LB who plays like a $5M LB. He's a fairly average starting LB IMO.

It's a bad contract though. Holding onto it doesn't make good sense.

Threw in that at this point we're looking more ILB than MLB

Wait so you're saying we should cut Moton and re-sign Shaq?

His production was matched last year by a guy making 4 million.  He's a decent to good LB, but he's not $10 million plus.  Shaq's problem isn't his play, it's his contract.

Wonder how many "Marty' contracts we still have.

(I know we shipped a rather large one to San Francisco last season)

Building on what Klein said...

These are the kind of guys you restructure.
