Nah, dude. Choosing a coach and choosing a QB is not the same.

Tepper was a new owner still feeling around to find his way. More experienced owners were trying to hire Rhule. Let's just be thankful that Tepper has learned from his mistakes and that the Rhule era is over

I still would ask Tepper who he likes and pick the opposite.

I still don't trust him.

the reason we not going with the likes of CJ, that's playing it safe ala Teddy/Darnold/Baker...

go for the glory, have some guts, Young is the story, Tepper's Small Brass Nut

I wouldn't believe much on the Young hype, everything I have heard indicates CJ Stroud (even before FA). Stroud checks too many boxes for the Panthers and people are looking too far into it when the answer is right in front of them.

Good stuff like always, thank you

I hope it stays that way. Stroud seems to fit perfectly into what they want to do. I'm done with the running QBs. They get hurt too much in the NFL. And Young is good but has some concerns (size and arm strength/deep ball accuracy).

We are on the same page, but I wouldn’t consider Young a running QB at all. I believe he had 0 rushing yards his Heisman year.

I meant Richardson for running QBs. There are some (national folks) who claim he is seriously in the mix.

What ppl r missing is that Tepper loves bryce because Fitterer loves Bryce.

Listen to how FITT has been talking abt Bryce since November. Go read today’s articles on panthers.com of FITT talking abt Bryce.

I believe FITT & Tepper had their sight on Bryce way before this coach & his QB got hired. I doubt that they let Reich & McCOWN make that decision.

I think McCown wants CJ, I’m not sure Whr Reich leans, but I think they know if they get CJ while GM & owner wanted Bryce, they are gonna be on a very short leash.

I think in the end Bryce is the pick because FITT absolutely loves him & so does Tepper.

I saw a big hug from Nicole Tepper to Bryce Young. Maybe I missed it, but did this or anything similar happen with Stroud? Bryce could start day 1. Not sure Stroud could start day 1. Not sure who Would be the best choice, just hope it is the best one.

- Teppers want Young

- Coaching staff like CJ Stroud

- Jim Caldwell will have a major say in the final decision. His decision might carry more weight than HC’s

- Tepper might have final say after he’s seen multiple miss-evaluations in his years as owner

Can Tepper not stay out of poo? God damn man.

    • Thank you, I’m hoping Bryce, Canales, and this new Oline works out. If Bryce becomes a franchise QB then even regardless of our record I will be very happy.
    • Thanks to BC's versatility and the addition of Nijman as a swing OT, the costs we have spent on the OL may save us a roster spot.  First, Brady Christensen has played OT and OG for Carolina, and he has always been a notch below average, according to PFF.  Last season, they talked about giving him looks at center, but his injury prevented that from happening.   Most of his experience here is at G, but he also has swing OT abilities.  Nijman is an excellent swing OT, an important addition that gives us Ekwonu insurance and depth at both T spots.  If you consider Cade May has been mentioned as the new backup Center behind Corbett, then he also has the ability to play 3 positions.  Here is how you have solid depth three deep and you do so with better and fewer players.  In the past, the OL has been a madhouse when a lineman goes down--we had 2.  It seems we had someone new in the game every week.  The OL needs to know the system and they need to communicate.  If I were coach, I would carry 8 total OL on the 53-man roster, saving at least one roster spot, and I would feel confident that I had depth on three levels.  Here is what it would look like: (I would keep Zavala on the PS to begin the season--he needs it)  Green indicates a free agent addition
    • Nice to have a front office that actually is trying to address the o-line for once.
