If they sucked their way into #1 overall, maybe.

In this case, they traded up for this player. They knew who they wanted (Bryce) when they traded up and gave up top end talent (DJ Moore) to get him.

The card should he turned in as soon as they are officially “on the clock”.

It doesn't matter whatsoever

My guess is with the first pick, the card is probably given to the league well beforehand and they know to let the TV crews talk for a while and announce it "late in the clock"

But if not, then they should wait the entire time so that we get as much Panthers discussion/exposure as possible.

They could turn the card as soon as Gooddell gets out there and they'll still take the full 10 minutes lmao. They always milk it for the early picks, especially the first one.

Always be patient.

Never rush when there's no reason to.

The fact that they haven't confirmed the pick and informed the player, is a red flag , why keep your cards close to the chest if you are not planning a swerve, we might trade all of this years picks for a big name Veteren ,what if panther North has moved on from Josh Allen ?

I know I am insane, but its really fishy why we haven't went public with the pick

Do you think NFL and Roger Goodell want them removing all the excitement prior to the draft.  NFL Draft coverage is important to the TV networks, it's just good business.  There's no need to tell anyone.   This is not the old days where contracts were negotiated even prior to the draft.
