I don't think I would qualify any of our tight ends from last year as very good receiving tight ends when they averaged .25 receptions a game.

I don't think I would judge any pass catcher on last years performance given that we had the worst qb/coaching combo in the league for part of the year, and even after Rhule was gone, we only had two games in which we threw the ball more than 25 times.  Prime Antonio Gates wouldn't have caught many balls for us last year.

Would he have caught more than 8?

True but remember the TE was rarely used much in the passing game during the previous regime. More like an extra OL. Reich is already known for using the TE more prominently in the his offensive schemes.

Its ashame. I miss watching guys like Brad Hoover and Mike Alstot. Just big physical dudes bowling people over

Ouch. Hoover JAG and Alstott GOAT in the same sentence.

I know you guys loved Hoover but damn, he is not even a RoH panthers player, much less in the same breath as Alstott.

Are Fullbacks a Dying Breed in Today's NFL? | News, Scores ...

Fullbacks are a dying breed. Many colleges, due to the proliferation of the spread offense, no longer use true fullbacks, so the feeder system to the NFL has evaporated. For some players, the position simply isn't glamorous enough. "Nobody ever grows up wanting to be a fullback,

I know right? Panther fans are notorious for over-hyping their own players. You can't trust fans to have a realistic evaluation of their own players. The interwebz with all its Fandoms and Homerisms is ruining the game for us real fans. Not to mention Madden and Fantasy Football. They're the worst. lol

Way to troll, sure hype your guys, but realistically.

We have some great Panthers players in our history, Hoover is not one of them. It was fun to yell his name at the stadium but thats about it.

You using Realistically is kinda funny. lol

So what you are really saying is that anyone that doesn't agree with your take on Burns and Hoover are just Homers with no real ability to judge a players worth?
