Everyone that commented on here wanted Shaq's ass cut you damn hypocrites I'm totally disgusted

that’s because Shaq is not worth 20m a year he was about to be paid and wasn’t worth his contract as a whole, cutting a bloated contract and eating cap money is easy to do when your team looks like poo and won’t be competing any time soon

but for a fair price I don’t think anyone is against him being here

The money was what it was and we had no control over it, but the vitriol that many had on this forum towards him as a player was outrageous.

He's been a great teammate and overall a great locker room presence. As far as his career it just has not panned out the way we had hoped in comparison to other notable Panthers linebackers. Some people don't like him but most in proper perspective like Shaq Thompson. As far as the money that was all unnecessary. But it was Thompson himself who took to Twitter to go on the attack toward anyone including Panthers fans who were suggesting he take a paycut. That just wasn't a good look on his part not in a time where so many financial burdens have been facing average Americans not making millions of dollars annually. But he realized that was not the path forward and corrected course. It's over and done with and most people are happy he's staying.

Receiving a pay cut is never easy, especially when you're one of the two longest tenured players on a team.

But that's what had to happen in order for Shaq to remain with the Panthers.

Knowing that several free agents weren't set to get big deals, it became an easy decision for him.

I was fortunate enough to play a round with shaq at piper glen (shared before in an older thread) and as a person…. He was one of the coolest people you could possibly meet.

How’s his golf game?
