Bryce did himself no friggin favors today. He didn't look good passing, but that mofo is elusive when he runs. Again put a top LB in the NFL in the matrix.

And if Theilen don't stop diving and falling for passes that hit him in the hands... jeez be a receiver!

Good god man. Adam Thielen is about the only thing that's been right about this offense this year.

Y'all are blowing your backs out with these mental gymnastics trying to convince yourselves that Bryce is gonna be alright.

Yeah, our receivers outside of Thielen suck, but Bryce also missed them badly downfield all day today too. Everyone sucks when the balls aren't catchable.

Bryce mostly made plays when he had to improvise today. However, he failed to make plays when he had no pressure and had time to throw from the pocket. He made, like what, 4-5 inaccurate deep passes that were all overthrown? I recall Vilma attributing this to his terrible footwork due to him being more "tosey." I'm not footwork specialist or have an idea of how it works, but I would image his footwork to be impaired due to having to tippy-toe in order to kind of see over the line. He's proven me wrong in being able to take NFL hits, but it's clear that he can't see over the line, hence, needing to tip toe which then impacts his footwork (my guess at least.)

Come on. He CAN make the throws. He just isn't. No excuse on a few of them. Gotta give your receiver a chance to make a play.

I think his confidence is shot. He needs a restart to get out of his head.

And honestly these receivers are really, really bad.

Receivers are bad

Oline is putrid

play calling is predictably elementary

who’s really surprised that our rookie QB is struggling?

This is the first negative thing Josh has said about Bryce, he’s been blaming everyone else for months. If Josh Norris is defending a player bet your ass that player sucks. That’s his whole schtick to defend those who are indefensible. He does the same thing for Justin Fields.

It's so obvious but the copers just don't want to admit it.

Deep out? Nope. That's a pick six. Anything over 20 yards? Can't be in the playbook.

You are running a VERY limited passing playbook with Bryce. You're effectively turning the entire field into a redzone offense.

And not just passing.  Apparently can never run a qb sneak again

Hell, we can't even line up from under center in short yardage situations. We have to completely build an offense designed to compensate for the shortcomings of the guy we traded up to get #1 overall. That's the polar opposite of what you go all in on.

    • In last 25 years I’d say the 2001 Panthers were 1-15 & went to Super Bowl 38 in 2003. Drafted Dan Morgan, Kris Jenkins and Steve Smith in ‘01…already had Moose, Minter and Rucker.  ‘02 drafted Peppers Deshaun Foster. Picked up Stephen Davis Ricky Proehl and Jake Delhomme in the following ‘03 offseason while drafting Jordan Gross & Ricky Manning Jr.  John Fox was a solid coaching hire for the era prior to defensive rule changes. Saying I’ve seen it happen, also acknowledging how much has to go right for that to occur.  Highly unlikely scenario but possible.
    • Agree it was a bad loss, but there were only 45 states the last time that defense gave up that many to Vandy. 35 points has been enough to beat them for almost 120 years. That said I'm now focused on how he responds on the field. He's said all the right things, but now I need to see that he won't go into the fetal position with his play--both in his will and the coach's trust in him. He turned the ball over on the ground and through the air and his pick six was literally the difference between a win and loss.  If he goes back to beast mode, then all is good and he's still a 1st rounder. If he wills them back to the playoff, he's probably in the top 10-15. If they win the title, the bigger question will be if Tep has the onions to take another Bama QB at #1.
    • Go right ahead, but there's a better way to be that doesn't add to the hostility in the world.
