Half of Florida states team ain’t playing. It’s mostly backups.  They sent a message.

Yeah they sent a message they are weak and are an embarrassment to the ACC!

If you want to send a message play everyone stomp them out and maybe voters will respect you come next season.

I been telling you guys all season the ACC is a joke!

Florida St. should be banned from the playoff for a few years for this pathetic showing.

They should never talk again. This is just pathetic. The voters were right. This weak ACC conference is a joke. Even the best team in the ACC is a joke!

They shamed all ACC fans today with this showing. Like grown men playing against kids out there.

Here’s a theory: once FSU was snubbed, it wanted many of its players to opt out. Reason being, had everyone but Jordan Travis played and the game ended with Georgia winning in a landslide, the committee would have been proven to be correct in keeping the Noles out. In that situation, FSU can no longer claim they deserved to be in the playoffs.

With 10+ players opting out/injured, they can still maintain that they deserved to be in the playoffs because this game didn’t prove anything. The result was only due to the high number of players out of this game.

We all know the truth though. The result on the field would have been the same either way.

SO glad 12 teams get in next year. GA deserves to be in the final four ... as does Bama, Michigan, Texas, Washington, and I could argue OSU (before the loss to Missou).

12 teams is actually too many. It was thought to be necessary due to the Power 5 needing an automatic bid for each champion, with an additional automatic bid for the highest ranked Group of 5 winner. With the PAC 12 gone, you now only have 5 automatic bids.

In any given year, there are not 7 other teams that are truly in the mix to win it all.

GA is playing lights out.  Never been a big fan but man do I have to respect and sometimes envy the killer instinct of Kirby Smart.

No disagreements there. Unfortunately these are kids that don’t have a big picture. I was saying from their point.

Kirby will have Georgia at or near the top of college football for a loooong time. At his age (48), he could have another good 15-20 years in him.

12 is the perfect amount. No less, no more. Don't worry though, it will be just like the premier college sport, basketball, the 13th and 14th teams will be whining each year about how it isn't fair.

Just like the bubble teams in the NCAA tournament.

    • In last 25 years I’d say the 2001 Panthers were 1-15 & went to Super Bowl 38 in 2003. Drafted Dan Morgan, Kris Jenkins and Steve Smith in ‘01…already had Moose, Minter and Rucker.  ‘02 drafted Peppers Deshaun Foster. Picked up Stephen Davis Ricky Proehl and Jake Delhomme in the following ‘03 offseason while drafting Jordan Gross & Ricky Manning Jr.  John Fox was a solid coaching hire for the era prior to defensive rule changes. Saying I’ve seen it happen, also acknowledging how much has to go right for that to occur.  Highly unlikely scenario but possible.
    • Agree it was a bad loss, but there were only 45 states the last time that defense gave up that many to Vandy. 35 points has been enough to beat them for almost 120 years. That said I'm now focused on how he responds on the field. He's said all the right things, but now I need to see that he won't go into the fetal position with his play--both in his will and the coach's trust in him. He turned the ball over on the ground and through the air and his pick six was literally the difference between a win and loss.  If he goes back to beast mode, then all is good and he's still a 1st rounder. If he wills them back to the playoff, he's probably in the top 10-15. If they win the title, the bigger question will be if Tep has the onions to take another Bama QB at #1.
    • Go right ahead, but there's a better way to be that doesn't add to the hostility in the world.
