Sign Hollywood Brown right now…….

And draft a stud WR of this deep upcoming draft class with the 1st pick in the 2nd round. Tell me Young would not be set up for the ultimate surrounding cast in order to truly evaluate his skills set as “The guy”. So much speed, and we can easily afford to do it.

WR: Johnson

WR: Hollywood

WR: 33 overall draft pick

WR: Thielen

WR: Mingo

WR: Smith-Marsette

WR: TMJ

RB: Chubba

RB: Miles Sanders

LT: Icky

LG: Damien Lewis

Center: Corbette

RG: Robert Hunt

RT: Moton

TE: FA/Rookie

TE: Tremble

TE: Thomas

Isn't he a bit similar to Diontae Jonson who we just picked up? Combine that with their body sizes being similar I would think the staff would see this as a redundant signing?

I could be wrong because im not super well informed about Johson and Brown.

Speed kills and the high 2nd round pick would make the entire offense DEEP. Mingo and the 2nd round rookie would be the larger WR’s but Johnson, Brown, and Smith-Marsette as the speed, Thielen as the slot

He was on IR with the knee injury. He’s a difference maker when healthy

I’d rather sign Mike Williams (if LAC cuts him) or Curtis Samuel and draft another with one of our 2nds.

If we're daydreaming about FA WR's I'll take Tyler Boyd. Super underrated and not a diva, has some height to open up the red zone. Had him in fantasy multiple years and is always reliable

    • If I could get every Canes game through one service, I would pay for that. Since that doesn't exist, SportSurge.
    • If you aren't an absolute student of the game as a 5th year college player, you should be off the board minus as a special teams 6th or 7th rounder.  As you guys said, older projects are useless at most positions. We also don't have the luxury of that because our roster is terrible. You will NEED to play in some capacity as a 1st-3rd rounder. The expectation is that you should be in the two deep if you get drafted there.
    • Yup. It’s just that we have always had trash has been position coaches as well. Without good position coaches, which we almost never have, the young talent never progresses. Additionally, the raw high ceiling guys might be where they are…. Because they just don’t like playing the game all that much so they succeed off of raw God given talent. If a guy with a high ceiling would have put the work in to iron out the wrinkles, he’d be a top 10 pick instead of midway 2nd round.  So we end up with guys who don’t really live and breathe football, being coached by retread position coaches. Good times.  This is why we need truly fundamentally sound, NFL ready players.
