remember when Josh Norman came to Zod's draft party?  I don't know if any NFL team let's anyone get that far inside anymore.

Pretty sure there is a B-roll of the Norman podcast that never saw the light of day.

Actually I’m 100% sure there was a B-roll. Whether or not it still exists is the question.

I used to check this place religiously. Now I maybe swing through like once a month. I'm sure I'll be back refreshing during training camp and the regular season.

Between the team and the general discourse around here sucking balls, I'm very apathetic towards this place when I used to love it.

Are we just getting old and nostalgic?  It's just not the same

This.  I deleted Facebook cause of that. I did not liked the way it evolved.  I’d like to control what I consume.  This place is the only social media I got.  If I ever get banned, I might have to find an actual hobby.

We use facebook to communicate with distant family.

I found something called social fixer which allows me to filter out political and religious nonsense.

I bet you are less vested into NFL as well.  I find myself caring less and less for football.  Mostly thanks to Tepper.

It's also the softening of the game for me.  The NFL peaked in the 2000s and I don't mean in terms of revenue

Yea, that too.  Also, Vegas has big influence on game outcomes as well.  Now, they are bringing Taylor Swift as the way to get young fans onboard.  The game is evolving into WWE/Flag football.  I recently start watching hockey and those guys play every 2 days and absolutely destroy each other and you never hear them whine.

I come back from time to time just to read your training camp story.  I've probably read it about 20 times.

    • Maybe that's why he is paranoid about height now?  Ewers is solid.  I feel like he might be the safest pick out of the QBs.  His team is loaded though.  Also I want this next guy to be a straight up leader/alpha on the team.  I definitely see that with Ward, Sanders is too but he also comes off as arrogant sometimes (throwing his OL under the bus, mocking former teammates, not shaking hands after winning) and I'm not sure that will win over a locker room. I kind of want to see more of this Rourke kid.  He might be word a mid round flier...
    • Sanders is gone after this year, and once that happens, I have no issues giving his salary to Chuba. Chuba is an interesting case where I think the benefits of re-signing him aren't strictly related to play on the field. Dude was a 4th round pick drafted to spell an all-pro in CMC and looked every bit of a backup his first year. But he worked his ass off and improved year over year, significantly and is now top 5 in rushing once he was finally given a chance as the #1 back. By all accounts he is one of, if not THE, hardest worker on the team. You need guys like that on the roster. I'm not a huge fan of re-signing running backs, but Chuba has earned his money, and I'd hate to see him go - And I say this as one of his certified haters a few seasons back. If it pans out with Brooks we could have our own version of what Detroit has in their backfield with Montgomery and Gibbs.
    • And Burns isn't worth paying and CMC is injured badly now. The issue isn't who we lost it's that they can't aquire talent anymore. Be sick of that because nothing will change for the better until that changes dramatically.
