This weeks ranking that will look like nonsense by this time next week.

Lots of upsets?

I think UGA and whoever loses Bama/UT will obviously go down.  I think Miami goes down after flirting with defeat every ACC game thus far.  That's about all that stands out for me.

It’s been shuffled every week.  Someone always in the top 25 that doesn’t belong there.

It's going to be interesting to see how the AP and Playoffs rankers handle the end of the year. With SEC/Big 12/Big 10 all beating one another, and all these saller schools sitting there with 1 loss or less, will they of course shove a 3 loss elite program in the Playoffs over a lesser school with a better record?

It'll be interesting but personally I'm not overly concerned about it. Honestly, if you're on the bubble of the top 12 teams you probably don't have a realistic shot anyway. The 12 team field is gonna capture all the teams with a realistic chance barring some significant factor like losing a game or two because your star QB was hurt or something along those lines.

True, but all things being equal you'd put a hypothetical 7-1 Memphis ahead of a 5-2 Georgia. So if wins and losses actually matter for everyone, there should be NO 3 loss team when the Playoff bracket is made no matter if they're from the SEC/BIG 12 10. If that means something like SMU, Army, Navy, Boise St, Iowa St, North Texas, etc. are in and Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Michigan, USC, Florida or whoever are out ... then so be it.

Basically what I'm saying is don't let your fear of not having a big name in the Playoffs force you to do some BS, selection committee. I know, I know, wishful thinking.

Trust and believe, the SEC will find some way to get 3 or 4 teams in even though they don't deserve it.

    • I’ve said it in the past that this team has found brief runs of success this season off of a player or few that decides to turn God mode on for the day. Yesterday Chuba looked like the stud many forgot he was last season. Mike Jack ball hawked a pick 6 to the house? WTF? Derrick m-fin Brown.  Does anyone remember the last time a Panthers lineman closed out a big game? That play was classic Jenkins.  Coker is a stud (we are VERY fortunate to have him). Tet is a stud. Brown is a stud. Rico is a stud. Ickey is a stud. The O line continues to play much better than they rightfully should be. The depth players by and large have been refreshingly competent.  If they would have just played Panthers brand football all season they would probably have 9 wins but it is what it is. I think Bryce is far more comfortable in the game manager role, which for now is ‘ok’… for now. A team that can run the ball at will and has an opportunistic defense is a tough out for anybody, home or away.
    • True. But that elevation gain is no joke on the lungs.
    • Take away Bryce's two 4th and short passes and the screen to Chuba and what are you left with on fhe passing game? See how it goes when you selectively eliminate the three best plays? We caught lightning in a bottle yesterday on both sides of the ball. The D was overall not good but had three great plays forcing turnovers taking one back for a TD. The offensive passing game overall was not good but had three big plays resulting in TDs.
