Everyone runs it up on them. They've just had enough offense to carry them. But the elite teams are gonna have enough defense to get enough stops to win comfortably IMO. Ward and the offense will still put up points but not enough.

Who are the elite teams? Texas and...?

It's honestly pretty obvious. There was a similar call in the UNC game last week. Announcers are just trying to create drama.

They called in an ESPN rules expert for three random plays that Miami were involved with.

Didn't bring the same rules expert back in for obviously holds / pick plays by Louisville. Someone is trying to create the narrative that the Canes have the ACC refs in their back pocket and, quite frankly, it's hilarious.

I like Restrepo.  But he if he is your #1 and what your O is going through….I don’t call that a championship caliber O.  Thats not how  Championship caliber Os with good QBs are built.

Hunter Renfrow was a legend.  But Hunter Renfrow was an accessory/role player.

The O runs through Ward.

Restrepo, George, Brown, Horton and Arroyo (I think all will play in the NFL - bar maybe George) are a good cast of receivers and of course we have a host of RBs.

Agree to disagree I guess.

I've just seen a large dose of what happens to teams with no defense carried by their QB in recent years. It's a tough row to hoe week in and week out when every offense you play is going to look elite because of your nonexistent defense so your offense has to be damn near perfect to compete.

    • Through 2 games cltfc has 12 shot attempts. Opponents 23 shots on target. Attack sucks, Defense definitely sucks. Kahlina is the only reason they haven't given up 14 goals in two games.
    • I met a few times--never liked him. I figured he might have had a bad day--but then realized that he must have a lot of bad days. Once he raised his voice at my son because my son did not understand a question when SS was signing his jersey.  I wanted the jersey to represent his encounter with a Panther great, not some small man with a bad attitude.  I told me son, "Forget it.  He was asking you what your name is (My son was about 7 and told me that he thought Smitty was going to write (my son's) name on the jersey.  He said "Dad, I thought he was supposed to write HIS name on the jersey, not mine."  I said, "He was personalizing it, writing it to you--like a birthday card."  He is now grown, and he has a steve smith Jersey that is framed and matted.  He keeps it is his closet.  I asked him, "Why not have that out on your wall?"  He said, "All I remember is an A-hole scribbled on my shirt.  I don't remember a legend or hero.  But he had a Jake Delhomme Jersey on his wall.  "Jake was great.  I will always remember that."  (Jake stayed and talked to us for about 5 minutes or more--GREAT guy.)
    • Is it possible for someone to regress in maturity as they age or has Steve really just been a jerk his entire life?
