He’s 19.  He’s very raw.

I get it but unlike say route running for a receiver, I think ball carrier vision is basically a pure natural talent. You either have it or you don't. I just don't think he has it. When he gets to the NFL where the whole defense on the other side is also freak athletes I just don't think he'll be effective.

Yea he’s not an NFL back right now but it’s crazy watching these really gifted guys super Mario jump over future life insurance salesmen.

Summary of ND vs IU game IMO is found on the roster.  4/5 star athletes.

ND: 58 of them

IU: 10

Indiana just not ready.  Well coached team that still ain’t got the roster to really compete

And yet, if they had better qb play, and maybe 2 better offensive linemen, the game would have been much closer.  The IU quarterback didn't have a lot of time to thrown, and when he did, he missed several open receivers.  Hit a few of those open receivers, get a little more time to throw, and the game is vastly different.

Sure.  But the talent gap meant less time to throw, needing a couple better offensive lineman, having small windows….vs a Notre Dame team that really wasn’t even playing great.

It's wild watching the media go crazy in the aftermath acting like we watched some great tragedy last night and Indiana/ND was the most lopsided game in college playoff history. It was literally two years ago when UGA beat the fug out out TCU 65-7 in the national championship game.

It doesn’t even rank in the top 3 of just BIG10 beatdowns in the college football playoff era.

Mich St lost 38-0

Ohio State lost 31-0

Ohio St lost 52-24

and if you want to talk Notre Dame, they have been embarrassed way worse than IU was in the playoffs

media went hard turn quick, now forced to go say maybe the ACC, BIG12 better than thought.  Nah, it’s just random hot takes after every game.

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
