Ohio State has a top tier roster, and there aren’t many teams that can line up against them.  It’s as simple as that.

The SEC's best team isn't really truly even an SEC team lol.

Moral of the story is SOS matters and the best teams weren't in the playoffs.

Tenn benefitted from a baby gap schedule along with Texas to be fair.

I think that eventually, combining all these powerhouse teams in a couple of conferences will be detrimental to them.

SC and Ole Miss likely dumpster a lot of those teams in the first round as well.

There are a couple of different morals.

1.  Being blown out doesn't mean that a team didn't belong.  Just means they had a bad day.

2.  Homefield is a huge advantage.  

3.  QB play is almost as important in college as it is in the NFL.  Only one game was close, because both teams in that game had solid qb play.

#2 is critical. All of the home teams straight up ROLLED.

But what happens when you're in the Mountain West, MAC, AAC, etc. and you think your team is good? You have to play teams in your conference. So it will always be weak. And you can try and schedule as many big dogs as you can ... but will they agree to play you? And just because Missou and Texas AM for example are in the SEC doesn't make them better just because they play big schools each week.

It's an unfixable system until they go to a 16 or 24 team field lol.

The SEC is going to leave the NCAA and have their own league.
