Knicks have traded for KAT…

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nba/knicks-shocker-how-s-kat-trade-help-nba-finals-chances/ar-AA1rlRHo

I seriously find this trade to be a fit swap at best for the Knicks.  The Timberwolves getting Julius Randle is a huge win IMO.  Dude is amazing.  He might hurt chemistry overall but he is a beast.  Minny wins this deal IMO.

Minny also gets back a first rounder that is the Detroit pick?  Maybe I can’t read.  That cannot be true.  Hornets are involved to make this deal work and are getting a draft pick back +Daquan Jeffries who will almost certainly be waived.  Good biz

Mark Williams hurt again…

As for the trade I like it better for the TWolves because I think Naz Reid is ready to break out for them and Randle still provides them with the ability to stretch the floor, he’s just a smaller guy than KAT.

Also great business by the Hornets, the new GM is doing a great job of facilitating trades and picking up assets like Josh Green and draft picks in the process.

Eastern Champs have no chance against the West Champs.  Like none.

Not as scared of the west as much as the last decade or so lol. I know it's been a thing but the Knicks actually have some depth behind Brunson and Kat this year and they had a week off after winning in 4 last round

    • From Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/nutshellsportz.bsky.social/post/3mo3rkrcezs2e  A look at Run Threat Rate across the NFL Run Threat Rate is the percentage of plays where a team either runs the ball or uses play action. This compares each team’s rate when leading or tied versus when trailing to show how much they abandon the run when playing from behind.
    • That's the current dilemma on both parties at the moment. If Ickey comes back too soon, he won't be 100% and his play will suffer. Leading to a potential decrease in his contract. If Ickey is unable to play and sits the entire 2026 season, his contract will still take the same hit since it tells all 32 team that he is not fully recovered. On the Panthers side, I'm sure they would want to keep Ickey if he is fully recovered but he is obviously in a contract year. They don't want to re-sign him to a massive deal since it be too risky and they know if Ickey is able to return to form.  Best case scenario, the Panthers wants to offer Ickey a 1-2 year heavily incentive based prove it deal. However, Ickey would most likely decline the offer and test the market as  another team can come in and offer Ickey a better deal if they are desperate enough for O-line help.
    • They have been giving him a lot of snaps at RT to give TMo some relief in camp. I think that will continue for the time being.
