Diontae Johnson had “sigh of relief” when he was traded to Ravens

Dennis and Chris had a point on 99.9 The Fan.

The trade is a reflection of what the NFL thinks his value is worth. Morgan can't control what other teams are offering.

I mean the option is to keep him for him to walk anyways and then we MAYBE get a comp pick for 2026. All you do until then is take reps from Coker and Legette.

That's a solid point.

But I also wonder, if the league is collectively low balling us and taking that stance given we are pretty well established bad deal makers.

It’s just wild that any name that people recognize in the NFL that end up on our team are traded. We have maybe 4 blue chip players on our team currently. With that being said, I don’t believe was good for the locker room based on our willingness to move him for as cheap as we did

lol, 4 blue chip players???

Brown is really the only one with an argument and he only put up 1 year of being "blue chip" caliber before getting hurt for the season. who knows if he'll ever even get back to that level from last year, I doubt it honestly.

Horn is probably the next closest but he's as injury prone as it gets and despite his play being phenomenal in prior years when he was on the field, he's just been a bit above average this year and I don't view him as a blue chip player.

I don't think any other player on this team is even remotely close to being a blue chip player.

Lot of conspiracy type of thinking going on in here. It's pretty simple.

He had been grousing with Young, that we know of. He progressed to acting out. Then he did the acting out by quitting on his routes and poo with Andy, commenting derogatory stuff about he can't do people's jobs for them or something.

Now we have Bryce playing, it wasn't going to get better.

Well yeah of course he doesn't have to worry about playing with Bryce Young anymore.

All that being said. He definitely checked out and validated what Steelers fans told us about him when we traded for him. There's a high probability he will eventually wear out his welcome in Baltimore. Good luck with all that.

If he can’t make it work with Lamar he won’t have any options left. It’s a contract year so he better make the most of it…

Well I was considering our two guards, horn, and maybe Brooks once he’s on the field but yeah……that’s my point. We suck ass and have no talent

Bryce sucks but if you're his teammate, you don't throw him under the bus like he did. You don't be an ass. You be a grown ass man about it.

Diontae is living up to the rep he gained in Pittsburgh. He's kind of good, but he's an ass. He's a short termer with any team he goes to. Ravens are desperate for a good receiver, but they know he's an ass so they weren't going to offer much for that punk bitch.

Ravens are great running team....with 2 good TEs, almost 2 WRs close to being on track for 1k yards.

Johnson was basically a free luxury piece for a team that hopes to win it all this year.

Must be nice to a Ravens fan.

Genuine question bc I may be out of the loop, what did he say to throw him under the bus?
I heard him sound supportive (or at least neutral) of Bryce even when there wasn't much reason to be.

Excited to see the development of XL and Coker.

Definitely need to address the position in the draft. Mingo is not a long term answer.

Develop their screen game and 2-5 yard out routes.

Yeah but if he doesn't get his touches in a contract year he may get pissed.

    • We need a #1--I get that, but in terms of the cap and looking for a bargain, I like to find a gem in the mud instead of paying top jewelry store prices.  When I look at the options, one guy who I liked coming out of college and he is a "type" we really don't have, was just traded to the Falcons before the season and blew out his knee in camp.  Rondale Moore.  He will be 25 and had a 500 yard season at 22.  Has not been in great places (Arizona, Atlanta) and he is the type of WR who could make plays--not sure what his recovery situation is. Higgins is my other answer, but he is not a #1 and will want #1 money, imo.  Have not really researched it yet, so just speculating.
    • I wouldn’t pay Godwin anything close to that coming off of a season ending ankle injury  Godwin has also torn his ACL previously  I feel like he’ll stay in Tampa and give them a slight discount but he’s not the guy I’m making our first big WR move for
    • Thielen immediately went out of bounds before he established/re-established control in the ref's eyes, and a moving ball/moving hands adds the element of doubt. That is the issue and why it's incomplete. Someone can bat and bobble the ball all the way down the field as long as they stay in bounds and have it in firm, clear control before going out of bounds. It was unfortunately not clear enough here. Right, but the hand and ball movement introduces a big element of question. He clearly did not have full control in the eyes of the ref and I agree with that call, or at least understand it. If he is in the middle of the end zone and not immediately going out of bounds and the exact same thing plays out then it's an unquestionable TD.
