Bryce literally has a stronger arm than Jake Delhomme ever did and nobody complained about Jake throwing wounded ducks to Smitty. This unhealthy obsession with having a rocket arm is just dumb.

Bryce threw some beautiful spirals with anticipation and people literally talking nonsense.

Come on bro...

Not for Bryce, let's not try to knock a Panther legend to try to lift the lil guy up.

Let's not act like Delhomme didn't go toe to toe with this guy TB12 in a SB a game that matters a lil more then week 10

The thing is Young been stinking it up as a Panther that is facts...

Coming in a a high pick he was handed everything without earning it so yes fans are going to give you a hard time.

If he can keep it up the benching may have been the best thing, making him earn it this time and that's a big IF...

Maybe if Young stay on his feet more we can all witness this strong arm everyone is missing

I'm gonna respectfully say that is debatable.....

Besides. Does Jake Delhomme not still hold the record for the longest pass/reception in Super Bowl history?

Let's not throw dirt on Jake's name to prop up Bryce Young.

All this coming off a loss too.

How about we not drive ourselves off a cliff high on hopium before we see this team against the Bucs and the Eagles. One week at a time.

Jake Delhomme casually threw the ball 71 yards in the air in the 2005 QB Skills Competition.  Which was out throwing the likes of 20 year old Big Ben, Brees, etc.

I think the poster was trying to say Bryce throws as prettier ball than Jake.

I don't know where this narrative comes from.  Jake had a very strong arm before the Tommy John injury at the end.  I remember back in the day they had pro bowl skill competitions and one of them was deep throws and he won it.

Jake Delhomme didn't have to stand on his tippy toes to throw lol.

Y'all stop with the totally over the top praise and I'll stop with the snapping you back to reality.

Praise is fine, he earned it but this revisionist poo is revisionist.

When Jake was the qb, did we have to bring in the backup to throw hail marys?

Also Bryce had 14 less attempts and if tremble and x learn to catch bryces stats wouldve been better than teddy 2 gloves. But as I've said before stats lie. He def passed the eye test. For a game. We did not lose because of him. Now I want to see more

Didn't Teddy have DJ Moore, CMC, Chris Samuels and Robbie Anderson in that game? Just saying.

Red herring, we’re talking about arm strength not the height or tippy toes.  What’s really over the top is your obsession over his height

He never threw a tight spiral.   I'm not dissing Jake but I think people got obsessed with having the next Josh Allen or Cam Newton type of arm.

On the other hand, I find Bryce's ability to throw from multiple angles and with a quick release much more impressive than Anthony Richardson's or Will Levis' arm strength with questionable accuracy.

This is one of the most ludicrously ridiculous, inaccurate takes I have ever seen. Watch this again and realize how utterly wrong you are.

I was not knocking Delhomme just used him as an example of a guy who was successful without having much zip on his passes. He was a gunslinger though and he had a good running game, great defense and a future HOF as receiver to help win some games. You guys play revisionist history as if you wouldn’t absolutely trash him if he put up the stats he did right now

LOL that ball was under thrown and had too much air under it, thanks for proving my point. Moose literally had to slow down. That was actually one of his best throws of career though

55 Air yards nearly flat-footed. Please. Besides, it's not even a matter of Jake being stronger; your whole premise is that Bryce has a stronger arm, and that is flat-out wrong, full stop.

Nothing more to say here.
