Bryce literally has a stronger arm than Jake Delhomme ever did and nobody complained about Jake throwing wounded ducks to Smitty. This unhealthy obsession with having a rocket arm is just dumb.

Bryce threw some beautiful spirals with anticipation and people literally talking nonsense.

This is revisionist history.  Everyone complained about smitty constantly having to stop his route to catch Delhommes passes

Red herring, we’re talking about arm strength not the height or tippy toes.  What’s really over the top is your obsession over his height

That might accurate if you had accused me of being under the top.

I gave him his large credit for standing in weeks ago, but reasonable is reasonable.

And what did I say that’s unreasonable? I didn’t say he’s made it or that he’s deserving of a second contract but have simply chosen to focus on the positive progression over the last 4 games instead of the same old stuff about his height and arm when neither been an issue as of late.  Cheers

You said he had a better arm than Jake or some such nonsense. Damn, talking about herring.

I thought that was beneath you, honestly. It isn't true.

ok fair enough but we still supported Jake until the 2009 season when the wheels fell off.

In response to nonsense about Bryce’s arm being an issue when he’s literally hitting guys deep in stride and Jake was notorious for throwing jump balls that Smitty had to wait for.   My example was to show how ridiculous the Bryce hate has gotten that people can’t even admit he actually looked like he can play in the NFL. We just need to see it consistently for the rest of the season

Let's keep the hype down to 11. He doesn't have a stronger arm than Jake. That is just ridiculous on its face, regardless of who was slowing down for what on what day for what reason.

I think it’s debatable. I loved Jake and how clutch he was but he threw more ducks than spirals. Bryce throws a better deep ball in my opinion when his mechanics are not out of whack. I stand by that

you have absolutely lost your mind about jake

I think alot of people commentit jake had a week arm only remmeber post tj surgery.  His arm was way better than youngs.  Young showed improvement last game but that doesn't make his arm stronger he still needs to be able to step into his throws to have any velocity as far a qbs the pantherd have had clausen and young have similiar arms

Bryce has had 3 to 4 ok games in his career. All of his career stats are terrible his last few games have been better but everyone is ready to jump on bryce train after an ok few games and forget what they have had to watch last 2 years. Andy dalton has still had way better games as a panther than young and he sucks.

The Panthers have had two long term starting QB's in the span of 30 years. Bryce Young looks halfway decent in a loss to the Chiefs and suddenly we're having to defend Jake Delhomme. There's "glass half full" and then there's "alright that's enough edibles for you".

    • Seriously?  When Dalton started against the Raiders and put up 300 yards and 3 TDs, this board was collectively BUZZING with excitement.  Even a lot of people who get accused of being Bryce "stans" (i.e. people who were simply willing to be a bit more patient with him) were ecstatic at seeing a functional offense for once and were ready to close the book on Bryce.  Who the hell was making excuses and saying it was against a bad defense?  The problem with you guys is you'll take a single standalone comment made by the biggest most radical Bryce fan in the galaxy and then generalize it as "Bryce stans said _________" to be sensational rather than engage with the vast majority of people giving more rational and levelheaded pushback.  I don't even think there are more than one or two people who have a positive emotional attachment to Bryce as an individual...most of the people you call "stans", are people who just generally adopt a more optimistic mindset and therefore are more defensive of our players and staff and will often give them the benefit of the doubt and root for their success (because that's in the team's best interest).  I mean I'm one of those people...and I guarantee you the minute Bryce gets cut (hypothetically), I will have zero care for his career at that point. It's also ironic that you so freely call people Bryce stans but you pearl-clutch at the notion that he has haters.  It's two sides of the same coin, dawg.  If we're to use your standards, then the bar for being considered a "stan" is subterranean, and the bar for being considered a "hater" is apparently somewhere approaching deep space.  If we were to put your post history up against the Final Boss of all Bryce stans (hell, the 10 biggest Bryce stans in Huddle history), your negative posts would outnumber their positive posts like easily 20:1.  So yeah I have no clue what the criteria is at this point.  Speaking of your post history...anyone can feel free to pop in there to see all the wonderful genuine praise you've been giving Bryce.  I mean they don't even need to look at your post history...you showed an example of what your praise looks like in your post I'm quoting now.  Let's paraphrase: he technically improved.....because he was just that awful early in the year, it's basically impossible not to improve.  And yeah maybe he threw some dimes....IT'S ABOUT TIME!  TOOK LONG ENOUGH!!  You see how even your praise needs to be couched in jabs?  It's like a compliment sandwich that gets jammed in between two slices of insults.
    • My man really just dropped the bag. Couldn't cut the crap for 6 months so you could secure generational wealth for you and your family. What a shame.
    • This should be in the NFL rule book.
