It will be DK last contract… he’s looking to cash in.  NE have better pick than us and waaaay more cap space.  If DK wants to cash in without a care for production, this is it.

If jaycee costs 20million and do is going to cost 30 not sure how we afford that

Solid point

I wonder if Metcalf would be wasted here. His game is the deep passing attack; that's not Bryce's strength as a passer. I feel like a really good route runner might be our ideal #1 WR.

He requested a trade when Geno was still the QB in Seattle.

IDK why he would want to go play with Geno again after trying to move away from him in the first place.

Unless he was told or caught wind they were exploring moving Geno?

I’m all for getting playmakers regardless of position, but if we are going to trade, wouldn’t it be better to trade for a defensive playmaker?

The defense is gonna take longer to rebuild at this point and teams aren't lining up to trade elite young pass rushers

A deep passing attack is more about the offensive line and WRs, but yea make it about Bryce.

    • I was also concerned about T-Macs effort and body language when scouts talked about it. But after he was drafted, Peter Schrager on the Pat McAfee show did say that he went above and beyond to address those concerns with teams. If the Panthers brought him in for a 30 visit and they are cool with it then fine with me.  Yes we need to fix our defense but this league is about scoring points, if you don't score, you don't win games. If our defense gives up 30 points a game, then we need to score 31 points every game!!!
    • I don't particularly see T-Mac and XL as the same type of players. XL fits as the X since he's got the top-end speed to challenge the deep coverage, but could also play the Z as his route running has improved tremendously from college. T-Mac fits as the Z since he's got a more refined route tree already and can be put in motion to hide him from press, but could also play the X with his ability in contested catch situations and eat up yards after the catch with his long stride. Coker fits as a power slot that can also play the Z. AT is the slot king. T-Mac's going to need to level up his run blocking, but as the Z he'll also often line up near the TE so he's gonna have help there if it's Tremble (if it's Sanders though... miiiight be best to run to the weak-side instead).
    • I got nothing but love for Coker.  We still lack anyone that presents that quick YAC player.  I'll never get building a chunk play football team for Bryce  Young (who needs a dink and dunk team).  And yes, dink an dunks still go down field and chunk play still go short in games.  I just don't see the vision here.
