It's 1 year, $3m incentive laden deal for a pretty decent vet back. Not sure why you think it's so bad. Doesn't preclude getting a mid-round RB, but clearly they want some experience behind Chubba given Brooks injury, Miles being cut, and likely not retaining Blackshear.

Contract isn't bad at just $3 mil. Still, a rookie RB contract is cheaper and can potentially get a far better player

broooooo, please rethink without the Morgan/Panthers dislike. 

Like with Michael Jackson and Christ, I believe its a great signing.

I spend enough hate in the Wharton and that's without blasting paying top billing to a fuging safety. 

There's room for all Dans move, good and bad.

This is winner in my book.

In 2024, Dowdle appeared in 16 games for the Cowboys and rushed for 1,079 yards on 235 carries to go along with 39 receptions for 249 yards receiving and five touchdowns.

What? This is the best RB class in a long time. If we let Dowdle on a 1 year deal  stop us from selecting a RB, we really are the worst drafting team out there. We have a lot of day 3 picks and there is no doubt there will be several RBs as BPA for a few of those.

Personally, I feel like we are throwing money away. That $6M covers a 4th/5th round RB’s 4 year rookie deal. I’d rather have Hubbard, Brooks and a 2025 rookies as our RB corps.

It just seems silly that we’re going to be paying our RBs $17M in 2025 and we won’t have our RB of the future playing at all.
