I call it what it is...going with the youngsters. Rebuild is a complete change..offense, defense, new players, not just drafted, but free agents. Like when fox took over the team.

it is rebuilding, Carolina is looking to do it over 2 years. Fox handcuffs the rebuilding process this year. They can't fully begin the process until he is gone. The ground work is being done this year....and then next season, new offense, defense, and vet FAs to solve problem spots.

this was the perfect year to do it...dump the players, that is.

usually a coach will walk in and have to clean house but will be hampered cap wise because of all the salaries they still have to pay from vets they dumped. our new coach is going to get to walk into a clean house without the cap implications. more than that, he will have a ton of cap space (if there is one) and an early first rounder plus there will be a good few comp picks as well. aside from the 2nd we gave away for edwards, we still have 6. i can see us with 10 picks again pretty easily this year.

for a new coach who wants to (re)build a team, this is pretty ideal.
