There were more funny moments from the six episodes of Police Squad (from which Naked Gun was born) than in any six episodes of just about any other show. Here are some memorable exchanges....

Captain: Frank, how did you solve this one?

Drebben: Oh, just a little hunch back at the office.

Captain: I thought so, so I brought that little hunchback with me.

(hunchback walks up and shakes hands with Frank)

Captain: Sergeants, take her away and book her.

Drebben: Sergeant Takeraway....Sergeant Booker.

The show never worked because they didn't use a laughtrack. Sad statement about us.

Police Squad was a great show. If you don't know when something is funny, you need to stop watching comedies. MASH had a laugh track too, I never did understand that.

All TV comedies have laugh tracks. The Police Squad folks tried it without one...most people need a little nudge to tell them that was supposed to be a joke.
