Hope he can back it up.  Get to work.  NFL ain’t no college.

All of these rookies are about to find out that this is a grown man's game. They will not be going up against guys who are now working as an insurance agent.

I'd bet anything we get a video of T-Mac mossing Jaycee in the endzone within 3 days of camp starting.

I would not make that bet. Tmac has not faced anyone close to an nfl corner and no Hunter is not one yet. We shall see.

Every single player to ever play in the league has had a “welcome to the NFL, rook” moment.  Every. Single. One.

It's a little weird to say both of these things.

If Hunter isn't anything close to an NFL corner yet, by your definition then, no rookie in the history of the NFL has faced anyone close to an NFL corner in college and thus should are in for rude awakenings.

As the previous post says, all rookies have their welcome to the NFL moment, but that doesn't mean they can't be confident about themselves.  What 1st Round WR comes in these days without that "buckle up" type of mentality thinking they're going to crush it from day 1, that's who WRs are, especially the good ones.

Yes, playing in a grown man game with be a step up from what he's played in college, but again, that's the exact same thing that every player in the history of the NFL has gone through, it's not like T-Mac is in for some special surprise the rest haven't been.

    • You are too harsh. Owners tell GMs what to do all the time. It doesn’t make someone “unfit”.  A man unfit for that job could not have had that 2025 draft.  And I am not trying to be belligerent I certainly don’t feel belligerent,  just trying to use some common sense. Tepper is the last guy that wants to give up on Young. The coach had WRs throwing fits on field and sidelines in view of everyone. He had to do it, but needed permission. I just can’t buy Tepper instigating that. Sorry.
    • You guys are just going to have to accept the fact that Dan Morgan is a mid GM best case scenario currently. I used to have people get very belligerent over defending Scott Fitterer too. And that's not hyperbole. People used to go to bat for that guy like he was blood related. We have a truckload invested in the OL and what do we have to show for it? The whole unit is already banged up including one of our big signings. Even without all that the group has largely taken a step back from last year in pass protection. Then you get to the QB room and there's only two conclusions you can make about Dan Morgan. Either he deliberately ignored it two years in a row on his own accord or he took orders from Tepper to do so. Either scenario says he's not fit to be an NFL GM.
    • Frank, ceding control of the defense in no way verifies that Tepper told Canales to bench Young.    It certainly buttresses the idea that Canales would need permission to bench him but that is as far as you can take it.    After that it is pure speculation and it doesn’t make sense.
