Two great opportunities flub of a shot by aho like the energy though

It’s something. I don’t think they can come back down 3 and I see Florida scoring again. They need to beat bobrovsky early to rattle him

They need to show something now before they give up another goal

I doubt they do for a while..  always tend to refocus defensively first.

Anderson had 0 chance on either have to quit giving up the middle.

Can’t imagine a worse start to this series. Ref is terrible, gave up 2 bad goals in the first period. They got punched in the mouth and need to respond or they will get swept again

If only Carolina had someone high up in the NHL to give us every favorable call like Florida gets...

Bad from a turnover and an awful non call, neither was remotely stoppable by Freddie though couldn't see one and the second no way to move form covering low to that high

I just hope we just throw our fourth line out and tell all three of them to just slash as hard as possible at the end of the game and try and break some arms. I would like to think karma at some point would knock Florida out, but until then - let's take control out of karma's hands

    • Jake in his prime was a gutsy QB. But just like with even someone like Cam. Father time is undefeated. It's very unfortunate we have a guy who is only 24 years old that has an equivalent arm to that. Absolutely blows my mind that our brain trust lacked the basic common sense to value arm talent when making a massive trade with ramifications for years to come. Unforgivable incompetence.
    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
