Anyone else think we’re getting too hyped

I don’t really believe that what we talk about in the off-season has much to do with what the team does this coming season, but if you did wouldn’t it make more sense to be as hyped as possible? Like if fans were super hyped and excited and felt the team was a real contender to the point of selling out our home games and painting BOA in Panthers blue wouldn’t that help the team, not hurt it? I don’t get the kill the vibe approach and never have.

I'll say this, I have seen Tepper era teams more hyped up around here than this current one on the huddle.

I think year 2 of Matt Rhule and year 1 of Frank Reich at THIS time of the year were more hyped around here.

I just placed 300$ on the Panthers for the season.

100$ that we win the Super Bowl (+15000) pays 15K

100$ that we win the division (+450) pays 450$

100$ for Tetairoa McMillan to win ROTY (+1300) pays 1,300$

Now that my bets have been placed for the year, we can all get hyped! Buy at the bottom, cash out at the top yall. Lets Go!!!!!

*I know these chances are low, but it makes the season more exciting!!!

I feel like we're viewed/projected as a team ranked around 24-28th in the league.  This is moving up from the cellar at 28-32 but I don't see it overhyped lol.

I've said it before-I think realistic expectations is not a specific record, but how long we can technically stay in playoff contention before getting knocked out.  It would be nice to see us hang in there until week 15-18 rather than know by week 9 that we're staying cellar dwellers.

The majority of everything i have seen in the form of 2026 draft picks to season predictions has us losing even more games this year.

Vegas only has 5 teams with a lower over/under than the Panthers in 2025.

Browns, Saints, Jets, Titans and Giants.  Then us.

    • Yeah they were bad QBs - but QB's that stayed on their teams for several years.  BY is better than all of those.
    • This is the right move even if you think Bryce isn't the future. Everything except signing him to a long term deal until proven otherwise. There's a decent chance we have a shot to draft a QB next year that we like.
    • If we're still bad enough that Canales gets fired, especially if it's during the season, there is no way we could ever attract any HC worthy of the job if we told them they had to keep Bryce their first year. That would be 2 coaches he's gotten fired and 4 years of not performing up to par. I still say replace both of them next offseason.  I like Canales the man and I think he's done an absolutely outstanding job at fixing our locker room issues, as it was really bad before he showed up.  But I just don't see it from him with his in game decision making, I think he's held us back just as much as Bryce has, just in different ways. Canales was our Dan Campbell, the coach you hire to turn the franchises culture around for the HC after them to inherit and take to the next level.   The difference was he had some elite coordinators early on and really let him focus on his "leader of men" role as opposed to the X's and O's that Canales does himself and it's turned out well for him.
