I don't agree with stifling the confidence of a rookie pass rusher on a defense that gave up the most points in history last season. Unfortunately we won't be able to give opposing pass rushers a stern talking to about stripping the ball away from our QB. It's been an issue for us and it's something Bryce needs to clean up. I'd be much more focused on that as the head coach but it's not my job at stake.

Bro? You serious?

It truly amazes me that there are people in this fanbase so brazenly averse to simple realities.

I mean we're over here desperate AF to establish a culture. Really any kind of culture. And some of you need to have this explained to you why it looks pitiful to try and publicly drag a rookie over minor things like this.

You deserve a poverty franchise "bro".

Jewell still being in concussion protocol is insane. They need to find a way to get him retired with all help he needs. I know it’s not a perfect world but you can’t let him play again for your squad.

It looks like some people around here have become so accustomed to the losing and milquetoastery of this franchise under the ownership of the Tepper's they don't even recognize that's what they've become. Sad times for the huddle.

I told ya'll, he was going to make some absurd catches in camp that gets people buzzing because his hands are just off the charts good.

But THIS also wasn't quite what I was expecting, usually he's making stupid catches in practice when a QB misses him and he does his Inspector Gadget thing and his arm extends 10 feet, this was just crazy though for him to turn and have the water boy there in his way and still snag it.

I think you are looking waaaay too much into this. You don’t touch QBs in practice. If our coach only highlights that play more young players are going to try to replicate it. It was simply a greater effort, but remember we are not making contact yet reminder. If that ruins Princely’s confidence (which I doubt it does) he wasn’t going to make it anyway.

Yes.  This.  I know there have been fumble issues that need to be worked on but you don’t just let people lay the wood to your starting qb.  Imagine him getting hurt cause of a hit like this.  Talk about an embarrassment of a franchise.

Great play by the rookie.  Remember, don’t hit the QB.  How controversial is this?

If your idea of building a positive team culture is hitting the quarterback, then I have no words for you. Justin Fields just just went down by being pressured on a pass….. Anything can happen. Let’s lower that probability as low as possible.

Fields was touched? I'm not reading that anywhere.

Injuries happen in camp preseason and the regular season. And they do regularly to positions across the roster. Our backup QB was held out and sent back to the bench over a simple thumb sprain that happened away from the team. If it's going to happen it's going to happen. Going around whailing at rookies with a megaphone like lunatics isn't going to change the fact that Bryce Young is a small QB and he's going to get hit and he also has a tendency to turn the ball over. Focus on the things that ultimately matter and truly effect winning and losing.

Fumbling has been an issue with Bryce and yeah, maybe don’t try to damage the confidence of your rookie pass rusher.

You're falling on deaf ears here man. These same people will be the first ones slinging all kinds of insults and obscenities in the gameday threads if and when the defense inevitably struggles just like they did all last season. Complaint after complaint after complaint after complaint about the defensive effort and how the defense didn't give a sh*t. It's hilarious.

thanks @Captain Morgan as always with the updates

I'm digging what I'm hearing about Demani Richardson.  He's the guy not talked about as much.  It seems they've got a good grip on what they have with him after a lot of playing time to close out 2024.  Seems to have trust and I'm hearing good stuff.

I'm really excited for Demani, been awhile since we had a good UDFA
