Why does Charlotte absolutely suck regardless of who the coach is, guy had Ohio competing for conference titles every year. Charlotte gets blown out by a team that went 2/6 passing. You would think they could recruit better talent than Army

As demonstrated by the value teams place in those picks, right?

There are busts drafted every year and there are steals to be found later but by and large the higher you're drafting the better your odds are of finding good talent, hence why those picks are so valued.

Playing Army, Navy or Air Force in the middle of the season is the kiss of death for any school that doesn't have the natural talent to overcome the option scheme.  One week of practice isn't enough to prepare for stopping their offense for a roster like Charlotte's.

There's a reason those military schools win 8+ games (almost) every year while having minimal football talent on their rosters.
