While basically not practicing. These things usually continue progressing as long as the guy keeps playing. Do you really think grappling with other jumbo super athletes for 60 minutes once a week is improving chronic knee issues? Let's just be realistic here.

He will get some improvement with his knees once he stops playing and sheds 75 pounds. As long as he keeps playing and carrying 300+ pounds they're gonna keep getting worse. That's just the reality of life for a biological creature.

I wasn't aware of him being a two way player....

Both of those are what I am deathly afraid of.

I am very concerned they are going to sell out the next 2-3 years for one guy.

I disagree. That five year difference in age makes all the difference in the world. I'm all for signing Parsons (which is still simply a hypothetical), but Hendrickson not so much. But that being said, I don't see a signing as predicative of, or equal to, a "sellout" or a sacrifice. Just my opinion, but if a front office can't maneuver around big signings by drafting well or otherwise making smart acquisitions (even those that are sometimes outside the box), then they need to be replaced.

"Signing" is one thing but you wouldn't be signing them. You'd have to trade for them. Parsons isn't gonna get moved for anything less than an absolute king's ransom. The last time an elite pass rusher was traded during his prime was Khalil Mack and he fetched the Raiders two 1sts, a 3rd, and a 6th.

A player like Micah Parsons ain't falling off trees. Just saying. In my opinion, NFL aficionados and fans use the term "generational" too generously, but I think that most people will agree that Parsons is in fact generational, so in my mind two firsts is a fair price to pay. Strike while the iron is hot, coach up your young talent, draft smart and play free agency like a Stradivarius, and you can find yourself among the competitive teams in the league, if not be an elite one over time.

Why is the iron hot? We still have a massive question at QB. You can't go giving away another massive haul of picks when we still don't know that we have the solution at hte most important position in the game.

Because the opportunity to make such an acquisition comes around every once in a blue moon with a generational player so young. Players of his caliber are generally with their original teams for life.

QBs can be drafted in the second round and succeed, just saying. Hell, Trent Dilfer (among a few others) has a Super Bowl ring. Hell, Jake Delhomme almost won one.

And all of that is assuming that Bryce busts.

Tepper has been looking for this giant splash move that bypasses a rebuilding process ever since he bought the team. It's an approach that will most likely just continue to dig the hole deeper.

Information from good sources say that the Packers trade offer was real, so Dallas did in fact turn down two firsts, a second and Rashan Gary for Parsons.

Jones has said they won't trade him, so he's probably going to stay stubborn or thinks he can get three firsts plus extra picks and a player back.

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
