This is why I laugh at the narrative that If stroud and bryce switched teams the texans would be just as good.

Anyone that's willing to run the limited scheme he requires will be a laughing sstock. The NFL isn't school

Reading this was painful and laborious, and that's what happens when the sentences are not punctuated.

Jk

I agree on all counts.

Yeah. I was responding to another poster, and only to the poster’s  spin

i think all of us are sick of it, all of it

we just want to be proud of the team we support and enjoy the game played st the highest level on sundays and cheer them on

With the current owner, FO, players, it is hard to imagine that as a possibility

But... but... but... Our receivers suck, it's the defense's fault, the oline should have been better, yadda yadda yadda (I'm sure I'm missing other excuses also)

Narratives change real fast because of how fast information travels these days and the need to generate clicks.  People said the Panthers were a great place for him to land but just because it was said doesn't make it true.  Was that true?  Did we have an All-star staff?  Did we have a good front office?  Did we surround him with talent?  Could the defense carry the load?  You have to squirt really hard to think it was just a bad rookie QB stinking it up all by his lonesome.

Saying the worst football teams have bad QB's is just low handing fruit.  It's the easiest thing to grab onto.  It could also be teams that have a bad coaching staff or no talent to surrounding the QB or a horrible front office.  It can also be a horrible QB.  To this day I think that T-Law going to the Jags might have ruined his career because of Urban Meyer.

I don't agree at all that Bryce's only good game of his entire career was against the Falcons.

Week 16 against the Cards (which is one of those last 3 games we mentioned)
36-30 OT win.  Threw 3 TD's

Week 12 against KC
30-27 loss but Bryce went 24 of 35 for 263 yrds.  It was Mahomes magic that got us.

Week 10 against the Bucs
298 yards in a close game with a passing TD and a running TD.

We even had those flashes of what he could be in 2023 against the Packers, the 95-yard game winning drive vs the Falcons, or how he outplayed CJ Shroud with the win over the Texans.

Especially in this respect you're not being truthful.

he didn't have theilen and it showed. sorry. where tf was david moore?

Go watch one of the million videos posted in threads that past few days reviewing Bryce and that will give you your answer.

Off the top of my head, Renfrow twice on a wheel route for a TD, Renfrow twice on a comeback route with about 5 yards of separation, XL 2 or 3 times on in routes (which I guess I'll excuse because he probably would have dropped them anyway), Tet on a deep post that Bryce overthrew. I'm sure there were more plays - there are just too many to keep track of.

I actually think David Moore needs to play ahead of XL right now. Or find a way to get Horn in the game. XL has some soul searching to do. Canales tried to make him a gadget player, but we can't even do that right. All the potential in the world but he's a work in progress.

TMac PI throw was a TD too.  Bryce just drastically under threw it.

Renfrow and TMac set themselves up to BOTH have great days.

the story of last of no one was open…..isn’t a defense the Bryce Young defenders can use so far this year

    • I expect Young to play better and the team to play better.  Week one is something I refuse to give much weight to, going back to when we had 4 preseason games.    All kinds of unpredictable outcomes happen week one. Seen it too many times to discount that. Since the 17 game schedule, I don’t pay much mind to results and how the units look until week 3. The units just need time to get the teamwork and timing together under real conditions. Not a series at 90% in preseason. That won’t do it. And it is hard to get around it.  But Frank is right when he points to the difference in how the offense looks with an NFL level arm behind center. Seattle in 2023, Vegas in 2024, were just liberating for the passing game.    This Bryce ball is no fun to watch unless he is having a day where  everything is clicking. Which I think we saw one time. Out of 29. Meh.
    • Doesn't help that Coen beat up on Evero's defense pretty good last season both times. Looks (and sounds, according to TLaw) like he has the scheme figured out. 😮
    • Yeah, it’s not complicated. is a seam route a hospital ball? No. can a seam route be a hospital ball ? Yes.   if you are throwing seam routes do you need to make sure you don’t hang your TE/WR out to dry? Yes.  Because of injury.  as a former NFL QB explained….Bryce was late with the throw (common issue with Bryce) and  threw it too far up field.  So a seam route became a hospital ball. result? An incompletion that got his WR banged up  honestly have no clue what Bryce defenders are doing at this point.   I’m out on talking about all his bad throws from Sunday.
