Could probably get Jameis for pennies

Since Ruble's dumb ass was bent on getting rid of Cam anyway, If only Carolina would have brought Jameis in back in 2020 instead of Bridgewater...

Not saying it would have yielded any more wins, but it sure would have been more entertaining.

We do not need to bring in a random stop gap.  It accomplishes nothing.  This is Bryce's year to seal his fate.  Hes garbage all year then we draft his replacement.  Winning a couple more games with a temporary qb is pretty useless.

You have to do something if Bryce continues down this path. You can’t delay development and waste careers because you’re hoping for a better draft pick. Always try to get better. If it was a game or 2 left, fine. But assuming 75% of the season remains when the call that it’s done for BY, you do something to improve the situation.

It's ride or die this year with Bryce. If Bryce doesn't turn it around we really need to look at the Packers QB model of picking a guy we like but sitting him for a year or two behind a bridge QB. Which might have to be Bryce on his 5th year option

I love how people are just willing to throw away ANOTHER season.

I'm ready to move on from Bryce. I've seen enough. This team is too devoid of talent because of what we gave up to get him. Not to mention how much of a laughingstock we are to the point we are overpaying players to come here.

I'd take Jameis in a heartbeat. At least It'd be exciting. Defense is still gonna suck, but at least all the money put into the offense to coddle Bryce will hopefully pan out with the next QB.

Don't even remotely want him. We of all fan bases should know exactly what he is by now.

At the worst case scenario he might play us out of drafting a QB and put us into QB limbo again with his erratic play.  I would honestly prefer to be either consistently good or consistently bad. Finishing near .500  doesn't really help anything.

I would hate to go back into that mode of cycling through mediocre veteran qbs again, because that's what I think would happen if we bring in Jameis Winston.

Who's the QB in this Draft that's going to ride in on a white horse and save the franchise?

I'd just like to compete. You can't compete with Young.

I'd be for making a move for someone like Jameis or Howell and here's why... they've shown they can produce they've just had turnover issues. So bring them in so that we can better evaluate the rest of our offensive roster. If they fix their turnover issues then maybe we're not completely desperate for QB heading into the draft. If they don't, then we're gonna keep losing anyway so whatever.

Howell would be interesting. Still young enough if he managed to turn it around, we would have some options instead of hoping Bryce can turn it around in year 4 or trading up again to draft another QB when we're not sure who to target with the number 1.

    • I mean I'd like to add a monster TE as much as anyone else but ultimately what use will that serve with a QB who had 54 passing yards in 4 quarters at one point last season? Defense defense defense.
    • Personally I think he's a nightmare to cover I think linebackers generally aren't fast enough to keep up with him in coverage and cornerbacks don't have the strength to tackle him one-on-one in physically bring them down which would normally lead to a broken tackle or a nasty stiff arm or just bully ball play sure you could find a receiver with comparable speed like Cooper but he's faster than Cooper sure you can find a wide receiver that is the same size but he's probably More powerful than them and a better blocker.  The size speed athleticism package that he is in is completely unique it's easier to say I'd rather have just a big blocker because we've never seen this type of profile before I'm a risk taker I think you would be God blessed if this was there at 19 I think if you can get a guy that's a tight end who immediately becomes the fastest guy on your offense and at the same time that third wide receiver that can stretch and burn defenses over the top that's the perfect what the Panthers need type weapon.
    • I think you're under selling Sadiq. They are two different players in terms of how they win. Loveland is 2 inches taller maybe 5-6 pounds heavier. Comparing his speed to sadiq.. well your comparing a 4.7 guy to a 4.3 guy I'm seeing a guy that can take a bubble screen from the tight end position and turn it into a house call. I'm not saying the guy is a certified home run pick but I don't think there's really a president's for a comparison for this kind of athlete. It's easy to say this doesn't look like Warren or Loveland because we haven't seen guys that fit this profile The closest you might be able to get is Vernon Davis.  He's not as sure far as those guys were but at 19 I think almost everybody is going to have some warts and he's a lottery ticket of could be top 10 in the draft player or could fail I am more of a risk taker I think he fits the athletic profile that could be a homerun, like I said he's almost 40 lb bigger than Cooper and like 4-5 in taller than Cooper so and he's faster. So whatever you think Cooper gives you I think he does that and more. If you want to go with one of the office alignment I can understand that as well but for value as a receiving threat I don't think there's a bigger value at number 19.
