If the Panthers lay an egg at home vs Atlanta...

I have a hard time imagining us making any changes mid-season no matter how bad it gets.

Tepper is impulsive. But a) there's nothing to be gained by making a change 3 weeks into a season, you're already signaling your season is over. Is someone really going to step in at this point and turn things around? Anyone in the league? Or even CFB, because I don't think Bellichick could step in and right this ship. So the best we could hope for, is someone like Wilks to step in, boost morale enough to win a few meaningless games and ruin our chances at a top pick, and then have the wheels fall off again.

And b) Tepper has proven that he is capable of learning some lessons. We really haven't heard much out of that clown recently. Certainly not as much as we used to the first few seasons. And by this I mean I think he knows he has a reputation. And no quality coach wants to go and work for the impulsive, meddlesome owner who repeatedly fires coaches midseason. We've already got to be the least attractive landing spots in the NFL with the absolute dearth of talent, conditioning, and playing surface that will keep players healthy. So the best thing to do is at least pretend that he's ready to stay out of the way.

So either way, IMO the smart play is you let this play out all season.  Let these suckers go down with the ship, and if a regime change is needed, you wait til the end of the season to make a change.

Thats is what they should do. But as you know they have never done what they should do.

I actually think we are going to win and then poo the bed for the next 4-5 games. Can totally see a bunch of excitement and then about a month of let down until Bryce is benched. Then we win a game or two and then Andy gets hurt.

At that point we will start seeing mock drafts.

I honestly think ATL beats the breaks off us. We have literally no answer for Bijan and our offense can't score more than 16 point when it matters. Not to mention did you see that defense flying around yesterday vs the Vikings?! Sh*t, they held the Bucs good offense to only 260 total yards. Bryce will be lucky to have 30 yards going into the half in this one.

I think we'll see Dalton in the game at some point.

is it hard to imagine?  We would be 3 games in to 2025

2024 - 2 games in

2023 - 2 games in IMO but  some would say 6

2022 - 5 games in

change has been coming early of late in Panther land.

I'm weirdly hopeful for this game. Atlanta's defense is getting a lot of credit for beating up on a 22-year old on a short week, three days after the birth of his first child. That game looked a lot more like "McCarthy bad" than "Atlanta good".

Baker Mayfield was the leading rusher when they played Atlanta and they limited him to 167 pass yards.

My preferred reaction would be sending a late round pick for a Sam Howell or Jameis Winston.

I agree at this point we have no choice but throw something at the wall and see if it sticks . we are losing our fan base .  Garbage stats don't count when the game is over .  I prefer Howell because he is younger and can run when needed .  He has a strong arm and is hungry enough to push Bryce .  Right now Bryce knows we have no one to replace him yet .
