Anybody else think that we end up cutting Bryce, and he then winds up balling out on another team? Seen this movie before...

I don't think Matt Rhule is an NFL coach, but he was and maybe still is good in college.  Temple first year in 2013 2-10, Temple last year in 2016 10-3 bowl game; Baylor first year in 2017 1-11, Baylor last year in 2019 11-3 Sugar Bowl;-----Panthers/NFL tenure-----; Nebraska first year in 2023 5-7, Nebraska this year 3-0.  If Nebraska beats Michigan this weekend (a distinct possibility), they are probably looking at a really nice season.

No because Baker and Darnold have actual normal QB traits.

Yeah, I doubt it. I just don't think he has NFL tools. He would need a Goff style landing spot where everything is setup perfectly for him and even then, I just think he's too physically limited to be a legit starting QB in the NFL.

Nope. No balling out but he could latch on as a backup elsewhere. I still think he would be the weak link on a ridiculously loaded team that would create problems in the Playoff and while facing other really good teams. His limitations are just to much at this level.

I have zero fear of playing him in the future. It's a litmus test for the D, granted the D is pretty awful currently so none needed.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
